The thing I love about New Year’s Eve the most is the excuse it gives you to dress up. This is a night for glitz and glam, and there’s no better place to start than your nails. This New Year’s Eve, I tried out some nail art that is perfect for ringing in the new year. Using a little bit of gold, a little bit of black, and of course…a little bit of glitter, read on to find out how to get your nails ready for a night of celebration!
What you need:
Matte Black Polish
Regular Black Polish
Gold Polish
Reinforcement Labels
Tweezers
Step One
Paint all of your nails with a coat of the matte black polish and allow to dry completely.
Step Two
Once your nails are dry, take one of the reinforcements and stick it on your nail. The outer edge will create a line to help you get a perfect french manicure.
Step Three
Take the regular black polish and paint the tip of your nail.
Step Four
Carefully peel off the reinforcement, and you have a perfect matte and glossy black version of a french manicure! Repeat steps 2-4 on all of your nails.
Step Five
Now for the fun part…glitter! I used our awesome new Glass Glitter that we are selling on the site, but any glitter will work. While the regular glossy polish on my middle nail was still wet, I took the tweezers and carefully placed some pieces on the tip of my nail. I chose to only do this one nail on both of my hands, but feel free to get crazy with it and do all of them!
Step Six
And lastly, take another reinforcement, place it on your nail, and paint some gold polish in the middle opening on your nail. This allows the gold to form a clean half-circle shape at the base of the nail. Carefully peel off the reinforcement and repeat on all of your nails.
Happy new year! I hope everyone rings it in right :)
