zodiac sign illustrationCAPRICORN

December 22–January 19

The needs and feelings of others have to be considered this week when the moon in your relationship angle opposes the ego-oriented sun in your sign. Full moons often bring something to light, so try to discern what’s going on with people, rather than reacting to the emotional atmosphere. You may feel like you’re in some kind of face-off, but Saturn in your group sector is clicking with the moon, telling you to work with people and make something constructive out of whatever develops this week. With Venus retrograde in Capricorn, you’re not entirely satisfied with something about yourself, though you may only be conscious of feeling like there’s not enough money, love or friendliness right now. When aggressive Mars in your authority angle fights with Venus, it could seem like someone with the upper hand is attacking your weak spot. Don’t take their actions personally. Focus on what you’re displeased with and what you can do about it.

zodiac sign illustrationAQUARIUS

January 20–February 18

A shift in your responsibilities, health, daily routine or job could take place this week when a full moon lands in your wellness-and-duties zone. If nothing obvious transpires in one of these areas, pay attention to your feelings and ask yourself if there’s something about your daily life—work, fitness, a habit—that’s due for a change. Your expectations have been raised by Jupiter’s presence in this part of your chart, and you may notice now that something’s not working. Pleasure-oriented Venus’s retrograde in your subliminal sector is also causing a vague dissatisfaction, and she’s clashing with motivated Mars, giving you the impulse to do something about your discontent. But it’s probably difficult to put your finger on exactly what you want and what you can do about it. Mercury in Aquarius is clicking with Uranus in your communication house, so talking or writing about what you’re going through will help.

zodiac sign illustrationPISCES

February 19–March 20

Your need to express yourself creatively and romantically is contrasted with your desire to be part of a group, when the full moon spans your fulfillment and network houses this week. Strong feelings for someone in particular may reach a crescendo or your nurturing instinct could emerge. Try to balance your emotions and needs against the interests of others. Venus is retrograde in your humanity sector, so you’re probably feeling like love is rather scarce and people are not as available as you want. Don’t focus too much on what you’re not getting, because we all feel like we don’t have enough when the planet of love and money is retrograde. She goes direct on the 31st, so this feeling is only temporary. Venus is quarreling with feisty Mars in your intimacy zone now, tempting you to take your frustration out on someone close to you. Instead, investigate what you can do to get what you want.

zodiac sign illustrationARIES

March 21–April 19

This week’s full moon will make it hard for you to ignore your emotions, as it lines up with amplifying Jupiter in your comfort sector and highlights your relative ease or unease. The moon is asking what you need in order to gain a greater sense of inner peace and rootedness. You’re in the process of figuring out what you want out of life, and Venus’s squabble with Mars will play up the disconnect between your desires and what you’re currently doing. With Mars hanging in your others angle for so many months, it’s easy to act out your frustrations in your relationships or to project any tension you’re feeling onto others, unconsciously asking them to carry it for you. Practice owning your own feelings now. The good news is Mercury in your group sector offers you a release valve, syncing with liberating Uranus in Aries and thus making socializing, networking and talking to friends a good de-stressor.

zodiac sign illustrationTAURUS

April 20–May 20

Retrograde Venus in your perspective house is asking you how you want to expand your consciousness. Traveling, pursuing new experiences, taking classes, learning about a different culture, religion or philosophy or meeting people unlike yourself can all open your mind. But you’re not exactly sure what you want yet. The full moon lights up the opposite house, bringing news or pointing out that you need more information. The moon is also likely to lend an extra emotional tone to your communication. A Mars-Venus skirmish points out the irksome discrepancy between what you’re doing every day and what you want for your future. Your current reality is not meshing with your desire for freedom and newness, and not knowing how you’re going to reconcile the two could create a lot of tension within you. Thinking ambitiously outside the box will release some of it. Write down any goals that pop into your head.

zodiac sign illustrationGEMINI

May 21–June 20

Your finances, possessions, self-esteem and talents are emphasized when the full moon lands in your worth house this week. Jupiter’s proximity to this lunation should make it easier to notice what’s going on, because Jupiter expands whatever it connects with. The moon rules your feelings and needs, so pore these over. Although a windfall is possible, so is a splurge. You may want to guard against overspending. With Venus retrograde, you could end up displeased with something later even though you can’t resist it now. Venus in your sharing sector and Mars in your happiness zone are squabbling, so you might be dating someone who’s not giving you what you want. Or you could be trying to enjoy yourself, and that pulls you away from someone. Or you’re expressing your creativity and not getting the response you’re after. Stay upbeat, looking to the future. Friends and group activities will be your best tension relievers.

zodiac sign illustrationCANCER

June 21–July 22

You’re like an über Crab this week when a full moon lands in your sign. Since the moon is your ruler, you’re already predisposed to pick up on her doings. And with expansive Jupiter in Cancer, your sensitivity is heightened and your emotional intelligence is enhanced. Tune into your needs and feelings, as well as your reactions to people and circumstances, because that’s what you can learn the most from now. And take the time to nurture yourself the way you do others. With amorous Venus retrograde in your relationship angle, it’s likely you’re not feeling the love, so self-care is particularly important. Her fight with Mars in your comfort sector exacerbates tension between your feelings and what you really desire. Your emotional state may dominate the rest of life at some point this week, but that tells you there’s a lot there to process. Take yourself seriously, while avoiding infringing on the needs of others.

zodiac sign illustrationLEO

July 23–August 22

The sun is in your daily-routine zone, focusing your energy on work. As busy as you are taking care of business, the moon in your subconscious house opposes the sun this week, luring you to tend to your inner world as well. Something could come to light through dreams, intuition or creative process, and bold Mars in your communication sector may make you think you need to share revelations, but it’s probably better to keep your own counsel for now. You are building something stronger inside yourself, and the soul’s wisdom will support that process better than any external feedback could. Besides, Mars is fighting with Venus, and the resulting friction is apt to come out in your speech. Or you might feel it at work, since Venus is retrograde in your duties sector, calling your attention to displeasure with your job or daily life. Coming up with action steps in your head will help.

zodiac sign illustrationVIRGO

August 23–September 22

Drama among friends is possible when a touchy full moon lights up your social sector this week, but it may also merely stir up emotions related to your hopes, your friends and your need to be of service to the world. The needs of a group could conflict with your personal priorities, your love life or your self-expression. But responsible Saturn in your mindset zone is forming a harmonious angle with the moon, so common sense is likely to triumph. Another source of tension for all of us now is Venus’s skirmish with Mars. The planet of desire and the planet of action are in your personal-fulfillment and your worth houses respectively. If you feel like you’re not getting as much as you want out of life (for instance, not enough fun or romance or free time or creativity), you could get frustrated enough to do something about it now. Methodical, confident, balanced action is your best bet.

zodiac sign illustrationLIBRA

September 23–October 22

The full moon illuminates your ambition angle this week, possibly bringing to light something related to your career or a goal. Your feelings about your position and your life direction come into play, and the need for work-home balance is emphasized. Inner peace and security are eluding you, with Venus retrograde in your comfort sector. The polarizing energy of the full moon can get you thinking about safety versus growth and the tradeoffs between sticking close to home (literally and figuratively) and venturing out into the world to make something of yourself. Your self-identity is firmer, and your concept of making a living is more mature now, thanks to Saturn. Use these strengths when Mars in Libra compels you to take action to change your situation. You have a feeling deep down that something isn’t what you want. Notice how this week’s Venus-Mars battle prods you to do something about it, and take the bait.

zodiac sign illustrationSCORPIO

October 23–November 21

When a full moon lights up your beliefs sector this week, your perspective shifts or something comes to light that makes you view the world a little differently. Your feelings about the future and your need to see things a particular way are highlighted by this lunation. Since optimistic Jupiter is in the same house, positive thinking is another theme. Saturn in Scorpio is syncing with the moon, implying that whatever develops this week can play a role in your personal growth process. But with Venus retrograde in your cognition zone, you may not be in the best possible frame of mind. You’re reviewing what you want and also noticing what you don’t have. Venus is wrestling with fiery Mars in your subliminal house, so your dissatisfaction could trigger unconscious actions that undermine your cause. Keep an eye on frustration so you don’t lash out inadvertently. And privately plot how you can get what you want—possibly in February.

zodiac sign illustrationSAGITTARIUS

November 22–December 21

This week’s full moon could shed some light on a financial, psychological or relationship issue, or it may reveal something personal about someone else. This lunation is in the same house that your ruler Jupiter has been in since last summer. So your chances of picking up on what’s going on are greater, even though it’s just a full moon and not a lunar eclipse. (Eclipses have a more dramatic effect.) The week’s other main event is an argument between Venus, the planet of desire, and Mars, the planet of action. You’re probably not feeling satisfied with what you have, due to Venus’s retrograde in your value zone, and your confidence could be a little low. Mars is in your group sector, implying that teamwork, friendship and professional networking can help you do something to address your displeasure. And expressing your creativity or communicating affection, happiness and playfulness are good releases now.
