Rustic Wedding Inspiration

First of all, thank you so much to everyone who has shared wedding photos with us! I’m looking forward to sharing many of them here on the blog :).  These photos were one of the first submissions I got, from reader Jordan, and they took my breath away! The decor has such a beautiful rustic feel that sets a perfect mood for a low-key, intimate wedding that took place at the lodge at Lake Wedington, in Arkansas. The bride wore a vintage dress, accessorized with Free People bracelets, and incorporated many DIY elements into her beautiful day.  Thank you so, so much for sharing Jordan, and congrats to you and Daniel :).

The bride’s father cut stumps in various sizes for use in the decor and on the tables, and the bride and groom collected pine cones to use as decorations!

The bride made the boutonnieres from the same bunch of flowers that she used for the bridal party’s bouquets.

Absolutely beautiful!

Wow, what a cute and romantic setting. I love how you can use a little bit of creativity to make something so unique and your own. The fact that they made so many details themselves just makes it that much more special.

Wow. So beautiful. I love seeing that they didn’t spend their entire savings on it too! It’s one very special day, but you have the rest of your lives together for children, a home, travel… So refreshing to see so many couples are doing so much DIY. It makes it more personal anyway :)

I love that people are shifting to a more spiritual (not necessarily religious), nature filled approach for weddings. It should be a special moment of connection with your soul-mate and nature, full of individuality. Weddings have become such a commercialized, stiff and obnoxious affair devoid of meaning, it’s just a big, expensive party. If I could do it all over again I would go for something like this wedding, simple, meaningful (to me) and full of nature.

This is beautiful :,) I wanted to tell you about an idea to blog. I have three spring weddings to go to this year and I’m in desperate need of what style dresses and colors to choose. Please make a blog about it!

I can’t wait to get married and have an earthy wedding like this. I want to have mismatching free people dresses for the bridesmaids, and get married under the trees in a beautiful forest.
