Monday Quote: A New Door

“Every person is a new door to a different world.” -Unknown

How crazy is it to think that someone has the potential to flip your entire world around? When you meet someone new, you never know from that initial handshake where things may end up. Maybe you’ll fall in love, or maybe you’ll find a best friend. Connections are happening all the time, all over the world. When you least expect it, someone might come into your life that completely directs you down a different path.

Meeting new people helps us learn things that we may not have known before. It never hurts to gain a little extra knowledge here and there.

  1. I’ve seen this quote before on tumblr and I fell in love with it!! I love the thought of meeting someone new and learning new things you never would’ve known would also push one to do something they may have never done before..I like the idea of that.

  2. Such a very cool quote… It reminds me how everyone has a different perspective on things… we all see the world from our own unique vision which isn’t like anyone else’s; there are many truths, not just one truth… take 5 different people to the same movie and you’ll get 5 different reviews… thank you for the reminder that we are all uniquely beautiful in our own individual way. That’s what makes the world so incredibly fascinating !!!

  3. You never know from where things may fall in love, or maybe you’ll find a best friend. All the time, all options are happier when you least expect it; I’m always thinking of fashion, just recently reading an article about how profound Cubism was from the beginning — someone’s handshake where maybe love, or maybe a lifefriend came into your heart.

  4. My daughter forwarded me your post on Monday, March 3rd about not knowing what lies ahead of us after meeting someone. This was quite a coincidence since I just sent a local magazine an article I wrote about how A Simple “Hello” Can Lead To a Million Things. A simple handshake with someone from Gulu, Uganda led me to become aware of the people and their struggles. This handshake also empowered me to help build a nursery school there and sell paper beads for a women’s group and visit there last May. This has been an amazing experience. Be careful who you shake hands with! Just wanted to share, great blog!
