This season we’re taking on festival in a new way.
We still love prints, fringe, and lots of accessories, but we’ve been finding ourselves gravitating towards a more subtle color palette and cooler, strappy details. We love how the low backs and cutwork of some of our dresses and tanks let us showcase the strappiness of some of our favorite bralettes. Here are 3 ways Jana and I are doing it this season!
The Strappy Back Bra is way too incredible to not show it off. We paired it here with a maxi dress in a simple silhouette with an extremely low back, letting the bra be the showstopper it really is.

We loved pairing the Sport Crop Bralette with the Outskirts Lace Cami, as the black and white laces complement one another so well. The low neck of the tank calls attention to the high neck of the bra, making this layered combo come together in harmony. A simple top half called for a fun bottom half, so we chose the Amazon Leopard Harem Pant to set it off. We finished with some cool ankle boots, a fringe bag, and piled on the jewelry.

The Butterfly Kiss Bralette works so well with a simple tank like the Gauze Low Back Tank. The low, scooped back of the tank works beautifully to show off the bra’s shape and butterfly detail, and its gauzy texture pairs nicely with a heavier knit skirt.

Which of these festival looks could you see yourself in this season?

To answer the question, I can’t see myself in any of these looks because these are not actual bras and they wouldn’t function as bras for the average woman. I like you, Free People, but why are all of models wearing these people who don’t appear to need a bra in the first place? If you made these with actual cup/band sizes, they’d be a hit.
This is currently my absolute favorite trend of the summer. I’m waiting for the weather to warm up so I can wear all of my strappy and lace bralettes! LOVE

Katie,
I understand where you’re coming from and totally thought the same thing. However, I just bought two bras from Free People, the Printed Triangle Bra and the Printed V-Back Bra. Both of these bras are actually so incredibly comfortable and super easy to wear. I’m a B cup and these bras still fit like a gem and have great hold without underwire. Of course, they wouldn’t be the best to wear with a tight fitting top, but all of these looks would be perfect with the bras. I pair mine under sweaters or peaking through tank tops. I love them sooooo much :)
I have to agree a little bit with Katie. I love the trend of showing a peek of a pretty strappy bra. However, i’m a 34d and when I went to the store to try some on, they didn’t fit at all! Its kind of disappointing because I love the look but it seems to only work for those with a smaller bust size. Too bad…
I love the first look, and all the strappy bras! Such a great style, and a unique way to approach festival fashion.

Where did the bag in the last look come from? What is the brand? It is so beautiful, I’ve been cross country road tripping this past week looking for something like that but I haven’t been able to find it. It would be amazing to know the brand of this bag!!! -much love, Míra <3
What Katie said. Free People, I like your strappy bras, but they aren’t really bras. I. Guess I will be enjoying them and the awesome open backed dress from afar, for forever.
This is currently my absolute favorite summer trend.
Thanks & well appreciate.
