Chicago Photo Diary

I don’t think I could have asked for a better introduction to Midwest America…

Chicago is big, and I had no idea how big it actually was until seeing it with my own eyes. This city is one that I’ve always wanted to visit, but never had the opportunity to. I was excited that Pitchfork Music Festival would finally be my ticket into the Windy City.

From Thursday to Sunday, there was no time to waste. We touched down and our first stop was Millennium Park. Cloud Gate, aka “The Bean,” was something I really wanted to see in person. Getting a reflected view of the Chicago skyline is pretty incredible, and it was an awesome place to capture my first few pictures of the city. It’s always good to fit a little dose of tourist in no matter where you travel, then balance it out by hanging with the locals. Having some friends close by always makes that easier…and luckily, we knew the right people to show us around.

From Pitchfork fun and backyard sessions to an amazing FP Me shoot, and of course, finding some of the best places in Chicago, we made the most out of our trip – and it’s been one of my favorites to date. The thing I love most about traveling is the people you meet, and then ones we met in Chicago are some of nicest, most welcoming people I’ve ever encountered. This bunch proved the “Midwestern charm” to reign true.

I’m excited to show you all exactly what went down, but first, here’s a little photo diary of our time in Chicago!

My friend is just about to move to Chicago and even though I’ve been there multiple times, there’s so much I have yet to explore. I can’t wait to go visit her!
