FP Me Stylist Of The Week: MaggieEmerick

Our FP Me stylist of the week, Maggie, may think her home state of Indiana isn’t that exciting, but her pictures tell a different story.

Horses, barns, fields, pretty light…it’s all there. Her style lends itself so perfectly to each setting, too. It’s romantic and pretty with a touch of bohemian goddess. After first hearing about FP Me through our App, it was only shortly after that Maggie was invited to attend a special FP Me shoot we had here in Philly. Did she go? Yup, and drove 1o hours from her hometown to take part in the special day. It’s so awesome to see the dedication that comes forth from our customers! Maggie works with a handful of photographers to capture the best pictures possible, and she showcases our clothes in all the right ways. Get to know more about this beauty below!

Where are you from? How has this shaped the person that you are today?

I’m from Indiana, a place where all you see are corn fields! I live in a small town that doesn’t have exciting places to go, so by living in such a small town it gives me the desire to travel and chase new interesting experiences. I haven’t traveled very far, but I plan to!

What’s your favorite part about where you live?

My favorite part about where I live has to be the festivals!

How did you first hear about FP Me? 

Instagram! I saw all the hashtags and of course I had to check it out! When I checked out the Free People App I saw FP Me and I immediately fell in love!

You recently took part in a special FP Me shoot here in Philadelphia at our Walnut Street store, and I heard you traveled quite the distance to get here! What was that experience like? Any highlights from the day?

A distance it was – ten hours there and ten hours back! My mom and my sister came with me so they made the car ride exciting! The experience was incredible. The scenery was beautiful, very different from Indiana. I loved meeting everyone; the girls were amazing! Also the picnic was super fun. It gave us a chance to get to know everyone!

If you could translate your style into a person or a place, what would it be?

I would translate it to a place where it’s fall everyday!

What’s one thing you’re willing to share that most people might not know about you?

That I use to be a tomboy… all I wore were sweatshirts and jeans!

What are three things you can’t live without?

My two cats, Nala and Kiara, music, and of course my family :)

If you could take one weekend to go anywhere in the world, and do whatever you wanted to do, what would it look like?

If would have to look a lot like Paris, France! I’ve always wanted to go ever since I was a little girl.

What has been one of the most magical moments you have experienced so far in life?

All the moments I’ve spent with my boyfriend, Taylor Fredricks :)

What does being ‘free’ mean to you?

Being free to me is when you step out of your comfort zone and try something new.
