Monday Quote: Home

Home is not a place…it’s a feeling.

A certain smell that fills the air, or that song that makes you smile every time the tune flutters in and out of your ears…

A moment in time with friends, or a memory that drifts back into the mind…

We all have those little things in life that bring along a sense of familiarity. It makes us feel comfortable, and at ease. Maybe it’s the bed you sleep in every night, or that trinket you keep by your side no matter where you go.

But maybe it’s just simply being next to that one person who makes you feel like everything will be okay.

That’s what home feels like to me. What does it feel like to you?

Actually, the things that make you feel at home also make me feel at home. Also the dreamcatcher, the glow in the dark stars that dot my ceiling and my ukulele. Lovely quote.

Beautifully written! I think that lighting plays a big part in the feeling of home for me – natural lighting coming through lace curtains.

Warm Regards,

This is great! Being away from home for the first time, being in college, is such a big transition. The Monday quotes give me such peace of mind. I printed out my favorites and put them around the window in my dorm. They completely make up for not being allowed to have curtains!

I just found the Monday quotes and love them. I wish there was a book, a gift for graduates, empty nesters, or newly divorced.
