Home Tour: Sonoma Broadway Farms

When we spent a sunny and hot afternoon at Sonoma Broadway Farms back in August, our mission was to capture farmers Jill and Sesa out in the field, doing what they do – working with their hands, harvesting fresh home-grown produce for their farm stand.   But upon entering their home, I simply couldn’t resist snapping photos of every corner of the space that they have so flawlessly decorated.  There is so much inspiration to be found, from the artwork adorning the walls, to the rustic kitchen, to the eclectic bohemian style of it all. The space is alive with their personal aesthetic, laughter, and love – take a little peek inside.

Beautiful home. I just moved to a log home on a horse farm in Fort Collins, Colorado and have been checking out the FP Blog for decorating inspiration. We added an African drum yesterday and I have been collecting feathers and more southwestern decor. These photos help a lot, thank you.

This home looks just like mine in so many ways. I just love that the “hippie” decorating, which I’ve done for the past 40+ years is so loved by the younger generation too. Now it’s called “boho”. My 96 year old mom still has these awesome macrame plant hangers with stained glass inserts that she made back in 1969.. Just love that stuff. She’s 96 today! Peace and Love everyone.

Anyone knows who makes the furniture behind the register at Free People stores?

I upholster antique furniture and give them a boho twist, much like the Free People style!! If anyone from your company is interested in possibly buying pieces for the stores, please visit my Facebook page!

I love the way they use the kilim rugs. They make great wall hangings and add a texture to the room. I have a couple of great finds if anyone interested.

Oh my!! I really hope that at least one of them is Native American and not just a two white people “decorating” their home with portaits of indigenous people and textiles from their culture. “Boho” or “hippie” doesn’t always have to involve appropriating another’s culture.
