The earth, though strong and powerful, is still a beautifully delicate place…. and I believe that we should treat it as such. Today, let’s intend to be light on our feet.
I often find myself stomping on the ground as I hurry from one place to the next. I neglect to pay attention to my surroundings, and from time to time even knock things over as a result. Today, I intend to be light on my feet; to kiss the earth with my toes; to dance from one room to the next. I intend to unfurrow my brow, unclench my jaw, and do every little thing I do with grace. Every move will be done thoughtfully, and each will flow seamlessly into the next.
Because when thought is put behind everything you do, each little piece – each moment – becomes its own work of art. And when the smallest of your moments are made of pure beauty, you’re destined to fill your whole life with it.
So today, let’s choose to fill our moments with grace. If we forget for a bit, no worries at all. We’ll remind ourselves every now and again, until the reminders are needed less and less. Soon enough, we may find that we stomp no longer.

This is great, and just the reminder that I needed today. I feel that I often have so many things to do that I’m running around all day, so it’s definitely a goal of mine to learn to take things slower and be lighter on my feet

I love it. We should definitely all remember to slow down, breathe, and enjoy each moment we are in. It’s all we have after all.
Lovely post.

I’ve been working on this for quite a while. In fact, it is a part of the reason I started ballet. I believe it has been working. :).

“I intend to unfurrow my brow, unclench my jaw, and do every little thing I do with grace.” — as I read this line I find myself unfurrowing my brow, unclenching my jaw, which I don’t even realize I’m probably doing all the time. This post is so well written and powerful — thank you so much for this gentle reminder to be more mindful, less stompy =)
