Today We Give Thanks

There is so much to be thankful for in this life. On this day, we gather together — with our families, our friends, those we love and hold dear — and we show our gratitude, for life, for love, for the sun and the stars… and for you.

Today, we’re sharing just a small snippet of our thanks and we hope you’ll do the same in the comments!

Thanksgiving

“This is a time for appreciation. When I think about my life, and all of the little things that have happened in conjunction with each other to get me to this very second in time… I smile. All we have is today. Not yesterday, or tomorrow. The present moment, the people who continue to shine a light in my life, and this beautiful planet we walk everyday… those are the things I am thankful for. Family, friends, loves… you make everything worth it. Thank you.” – Jana

“I am so thankful for the opportunity to travel. I feel privileged to have been able to visit so many places, whether close or distant. I think that, with travel, comes so many amazing life experiences. Seeing the world has opened my eyes to a realm of possibilities. Sharing these journeys with those closest to me truly means the most, and leaves me feeling so utterly grateful. I hope to continue to learn and grow from even more amazing experiences throughout the years. Life is one big journey and I think seeing the world helps us to enjoy and appreciate the adventure of it all! To quote one of my favorites, ‘life is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.‘” – Aubrie

Thanksgiving

“We have the opportunity to show our gratitude everyday, and while I firmly believe we should set an intention to do so, life has a habit of interfering. We live in a world where, unfortunately, it can be all too easy to feel cynical and grey, but we must always try to see the glimmer of sunlight in every situation. There is always a positive, always something to be thankful for. On this day, I look back at the year I’ve had, at the trials and successes, and I feel incredibly grateful. Grateful that the ups far outweighed the downs, the sunny days outnumbered the overcast, that there was always that bright spot glimmering through.” – Julie

I’m thankful for a meaningful existence. I’m thankful for the mind splitting beauty of the world and a few good shoulders to rest my head upon. I’m thankful for words and ideas and conversations that speak of truth and honesty. I’m thankful for it all.

Lovely post, gals… I’m glad this was the first blog I stumbled upon this morning!

Today, I am thankful for the air in my lungs and the eyes in my head. I’m thankful for the privilege of being able to look around and see my loving family, gracious friends, and the beautiful dark yet mystical world outside my window.

Today I am thankful for my gigantic family. Big in number, big in heart. My forever growing relationship with Elijah, happier and healthier than ever. How supportive my parents are in my ventures. My beating heart. My tasting tongue. My dancing feet.

I am thankful for the time I have spent with my family and the time to come. Next year I am leaving home for the first time in my life and I am ready to leave, but I am going to miss them greatly, so the time we have needs to be spent enjoying those we have around us. And I plan to continue doing so.
