The Perfect Baked Pear Recipe for Late Fall

Sometimes simple is better, and this baked pear recipe has exactly that going for it.

When I made my way up to NYC a few week ago to hang out with Amanda, Gus, Jane and Katrina, I was welcomed by the warm smell of cinnamon drifting throughout the apartment. It was coming from the contents baking inside the oven, which we later indulged in over a few good laughs and glasses of wine. Whenever you’re entertaining, it’s best to serve up recipes that are simple, inexpensive and delicious to satisfy you’re guests and keep things easy for yourself. These baked pears require little effort, and will leave you wanting more. Here’s how to serve them up for your next party:

ingredients

Cinnamon + Walnut Baked Pears
Serves 4

Ingredients:
2 large pears
1/2 cup of walnuts
Agave (to taste)
Cinnamon (to taste)
Sea salt (optional)

cut pears

cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Slice the pears in half, and scoop out a hole in the center using a melon baller or small spoon.

sprinkle cinnamon

walnuts

Sprinkle the pears with cinnamon (you can be the judge on how much you would like), then drop a few walnuts in the center of each pear. Drizzle each one with agave, then place in the oven for 30 minutes. I sprinkled mine with a little bit of sea salt as well — I’m all about the sweet and savory combo!

I like to drizzle a little more agave over the pears once I take them out of the oven. Serve and enjoy!
