Sweet + Salty Treat: Coconut, Honey & Pink Salt Popcorn

Sweet + salty is my favorite combination, especially when it comes to snacks. 

Now, I’m not a huge fan of popcorn, but this mix of flavors sounded too good to be true, so I gave it a try! Popcorn is generally a crowd-pleaser, and a great thing to serve if you are hosting a party. By adding in a few simple ingredients, normal popcorn can easily be transformed into a delicious, gourmet treat! Coconut, Honey + Pink Salt Popcorn

1/2 cup popcorn kernels

3 tbsp coconut oil

2 tsp Himalayan pink salt

3 tsp coconut flakes

2 tbsp honey


Prepare the popcorn kernels on the stove as suggested, or prepare a bag of plain, microwave popcorn.

Place the popcorn in a bowl. Melt the coconut oil, then drizzle it over the top of the popcorn. Add in the honey, salt, and coconut flakes as well. Toss the popcorn in the mixture until it has a good coating.


Finish off with an extra drizzle of honey and a few more coconut flakes. Voila!

If you popped the corn in the coconut oil to start with, would it still have the same flavor?
