I live in knit tees, no matter what time of year or temperature. It could be a snowy mess outside and I’ll still be rockin’ a tee under my chunky sweater(s). And over here in sunny Los Angeles, it’s no surprise that tees are my go-to staple. Basic tees, to me, are pieces that are effortless, confident and cool. Outfits based around the tee are modern and forward. They give off an air of subtle surety and grace. It’s not about flash or color, wearing a tee is about sense of self. So I am excited to share a few of my new favorite knits with you. So far… this year….
If there ever was a tee that I could live in forever, it would be the We The Free Long Beach Tee. It. Is. Perfect. It has that soft worn-in feel that you wish all of your tees had. The side and twist details make it unlike your average shirt. I love pairing it with a feminine bra to add some edge and a cozy cardigan makes for a great third layer. Throw on some ripped up boyfriend jeans and you’re good to go. This tee just begs for adventure.
When I first saw the Tessa Tee, I knew I had to have it. I am a sucker for henley details and I fell in love with the outrageously soft fabric after one touch . The backless detail shows the perfect amount of skin and is sure to make a scene upon any exit. Layer a strappy bra underneath for extra detail. I love the Tessa Tee for easy Sunday mornings, cooking and brunching with friends.
What are some of your favorite tees and how are you wearing them?
