‘Rome’ If You Want To: Behind the Scenes of Our February Catalog Shoot!

Our catalog team gets to travel to some pretty spectacular locations for their shoots. White Sands, Costa Rica, India… each place evoking a specific feeling and inspiring wanderlust in each and every one of us who flips through the color-filled pages. Our February catalog is no different.

Shot on-location in Rome, where our model Karmen just happens to call home, the team infused this month’s pages with Karmen’s local perspective and sun-splashed images of this gorgeous place. A visual vacation from the drab, grey days many of us are experiencing stateside. It was a whirlwind journey, the team stayed in an old apartment in Piazza Mattei (where the famous Fontana delle Tartarughe is located) and feasted on pasta, sipped on espresso, and packed in as much as they could in just a few short days… the Museo del Louvre and Dispensio Café just a couple of the must-see stops that captured their hearts.

Today, the team is sharing some of the snaps they took between takes. Cobblestone streets, age-old monuments, art and sculpture… each image is brimming with characteristics so undeniably Rome. Take a peek below and then keep your eyes peeled for the catalog drop, it’s definitely one that you won’t want to miss!

It’s been a little over three weeks since I left Paris. I was visiting my best friend who now lives there and we had such an incredible time. We ran all over the city via the metro and on foot and saw our fair share of local characters. Everyone was really bundled up for winter, but it was so sunny most of the days I was there!
The best part about Paris is probably just the quaint little residential streets with their lovely balconies and charming street names.
We also took the train up to Amsterdam for a whirlwind two-day trip and covered a lot of ground there too. It was even colder, BUT, I have to say the street style fashion in Amsterdam was way cooler than in Paris. I saw so many girls in really cool and classic coats and amazing scarves, chic updos, and great sunnies- the best part is majority of them were on bikes, in 32 degree weather- looking like a million bucks!

The trip was such a rush of culture, my favorite thing! And this Australian-born, Souther California-raised girl got a taste of a REAL winter!

I’m going to have to get hold of your catalogue for some photography inspiration! I think the most inspiring place I’ve been recently has actually been my home and it’s comforts. But my most inspiring country abroad would definitely be Bali! They live life in such a wonderful way that you can’t not be inspired!
Amazing post, can’t wait to visit Italy in Summer!
