Little hints of spring are finally starting to show themselves here in New York, and that means fresh blooms are at the forefront of my mind. To give you all a little inspiration for creating your first flower arrangement of the season, I turned to none other than Denise Porcaro. This stunning beauty is the owner of Flower Girl NYC, and today we get a peek into her whimsical Lower East Side shop as she creates a gorgeous arrangement and shares her own ten tips for doing just that.
A huge thank you to Denise and the rest of Flower Girl NYC for having us! If you live in New York, you MUST stop by their beautiful LES shop on 245 Eldridge Street. They also have a gorgeous spot at the Gansevoort Market!

Anyone know what the purple lavender looking flower in the 3rd photo is?
I adore the tips with the little illustrations – they’ve been pinned! Her description of vines as sexy is so cute xo

I love flowers. I think all women should have a bouquet at their desk! I know that for me, the money is very well spent – they brighten and calm my busy work week!
p.s. – Hi Krystal, the purple flower in the 3rd photo looks like a variety of lavender.

Lovely. I can’t believe it’s already Spring! I’ve learned this year that I have a soft spot for daffodils. :)

I love the natural arrangements! I’m in the east coast too and we have had a long, cold winter, it’s soooo nice to see a little green and some flowers coming!
