Vintage Décor Inspiration at Hillside Farmacy

The moment I first walked in to Hillside Farmacy I fell in love with every element of the décor. The shades of green, from the building exterior and the mural covering one wall, to the paneling backing the bar and cabinets that line the walls; the rich dark brown wood of the cabinetry itself, which was repurposed from the original building – a pharmacy in the 1950s; the black and white patterned wallpaper and crisp white tile.  My eyes zoomed in on the details, like a crystal doorknob on a worn wooden door, the bluish-green hue of the booths, and the antique bar cart.  I love when a space takes inspiration from its original purpose, and Hillside Farmacy has done it so beautifully. The cabinets are lined with various dry goods for purchase, as well as vintage bottles and pharmaceutical antiques, and the salt and pepper shakers look like prescription bottles. Now a restaurant that also sells specialty groceries, Hillside Farmacy’s menu features local produce and fresh farm-to-table ingredients. It’s also just the perfect spot to sit with a cup of tea or coffee and soak in the amazing ambiance.

I love the look and feel of this pharmacy (and those cabinets…!!) Thanks for sharing this little nook of the world!

That pharmacy really reminds me of ALL the pharmacies we saw in Chile – especially those in Valparaiso. They are so beautiful!

This is beautiful! I love your description of all the little details – especially the door knobs. Love the tiles and that latte almost looks too perfect to drink!

Warm Regards,

You should definitely do this sort of post for Blooming Hill Farm in Monroe, NY! It’s one of my favorite places to go to when it’s warm out!
