What to Pack for Nicaragua

After being inspired by a few of our FP Me gals on what to pack for Nicaragua, we gathered up a few essentials and started laying out our own packing list!

The last time I visited this country was in the high of summer and the weather was beautiful. Hot… yes, but ocean breeze was always close by to bring in a wave of coolness. The beach is where FP Sur La Sol is taking us, so swimsuits, sandals, and breezy layers are a must. The thing I love about wellness retreats is the end goal — feeling great in your own skin, inside and out, and feeling inspired. It’s so important to take along the things that you feel most comfortable in, and the things that will allow you to take on just about anything. There’s sure to be adventure around every corner, so being prepared is the only way to be!

I love that yoga attire can easily be transitioned to the everyday. I’m a huge fan of the harem pant, and this style is perfect on — and off — the mat. I’ll pair them with a slimmer fitting top during practice, then throw on a light layer for hitting the town. These pieces are so manageable to pack too, since they take up very little room in a suitcase.

The last wellness retreat I went on in Costa Rica, I pretty much lived in swimsuits and coverups. It’s all about keeping it casual, too. A good pair of sandals, a suit for sunning and surfing (make sure you bring one along that is secure and stays on in the water!), and some summertime dresses are all essential.
