When The Tide Rises

We walked on a land that was crumbled by the force of Mother Nature’s energy. We felt the warmth of the sun on our faces and the chill of the sand beneath our feet. We were silent as the ocean was singing from its wave breaks. Discovery was the reason we were here. No matter how many times we have seen the sun set on the ocean’s horizon line, its beauty never gets old. We could spend our entire life here and never see it all and somehow we are lucky enough to call it home. Its energy has changed us, we’ve been reminded to slow down, to enjoy life with nature and humans. To push out all the bad and be thankful that we move freely among such a beautiful land.

We chased the sun down the long beach and watched it disappear slowly, the fainter it got the higher the water came. What was once sand had now turned to water knocking on the walls of the land as we rushed along the tops of the slippery rocks to the staircase. This was the only entrance to this secret paradise. Winding upward, it felt like it was taking us to the sky. We raced to catch the sun on the other side but we couldn’t help but look down to the ocean, full of its magical hues. The simple seemed so beautiful, entertainment didn’t cost a dime and the wonder of nature was the most rejuvenating thing our spirits had ever felt. We were connected in a greater picture to everything around us and without words ever being said, we knew we belonged to something.
