Styling Stories: Cali Angel by Graham Dunn

Ahh, Farrah Fawcett… the iconic beach babe with a mega-watt smile and legendary blonde locks. She provides constant Cali style inspiration and is our latest west coast muse.

California summers produce a certain laid-back mentality and carefree spirit — from sun-up to sunset, life is but a dream. So who else to better inspire us this summer than the iconic Farrah Fawcett? Sun-kissed skin, feathered blonde hair, tube socks, skateboards and swimsuits — the boardwalks and beaches are full of them. Allow yourself to be whisked away, taken over by golden light and warm breezes. Be transported back to a time of easy livin’ and summertime love, bell bottoms and crochet.

Serendipitously, Cali Angel is modeled by none other than Farah Holt, a British-born blonde bombshell, and shot by LA-based Graham Dunn.  We traveled around LA, from Venice Beach to Downtown, to capture the sunny California vibes. So scroll through and let Farrah be your guide.

I totally remember being a kid and wanting to grow up to be just like Farrah. I was born and raised in West Hollywood, a half block from Melrose, and was lucky enough to see her a few times. She also gave me an autographed photo once, which I wish I still had. She was an amazing lady. These photos are a great reminder of her. She will always be an icon to me. I cried when she passed way too young. Thank you for remembering her, I’m pretty sure she would’ve loved this shoot and being remembered this way.

Free People is rad and one of my favorite clothing brands ever, btw, and I love your blog, so glad I stumbled on to it..
