Wondering how to switch up your makeup routine this fall? We’ve got you covered!
This post comes from our blog intern, Monica!
Fall is my favorite season. Things get a little colder, a bit cozier and a lot more charming…and, it’s the perfect time to experiment with new looks and change up your routine!
I’m not one to spend hours on her hair and makeup – I neither have the talent nor patience. As much as I would like to be that girl, I try to stick to the basics (or, what I can do in my sleep) – foundation and mascara. However, I do like to branch out, trying new makeup routines and testing out new techniques. Although it may take a few tries, it’s always an adventure to try something new! This monochromatic makeup look is one of my all-time favorites — it’s simple and doesn’t require a plethora of expensive products and, not to mention, it can be done in under 10 minutes! What’s not to love? Here’s how you do it:
Products used:
Seventeen Stay Time Foundation
Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion in Nude
Stila Eyeshadow in “Bubbly” and “Sunset” from the “In the Light” Palette
Wet and Wild Color Icon Bronzer in “Ticket to Brazil”
Stila Smudge Stick in “Damsel” or any brown eyeliner pencil of your choice
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara or any mascara of your choice
*Above products are suggestions – feel free to use whatever you have on hand!
Step 1: Lay the foundation
Apply your favorite foundation, as much or as little as you please. I used my fingers to apply it but you can also use a foundation brush or sponge.
Step 2: All about eyes
Liberally apply eye shadow primer on your lid, inner eye and on the bottom outer corner of your eye. Next, take the same bronzer you will use on your cheeks and apply it all over your eyelids. Once complete, take a nude or light-colored shimmer and apply it to the inner corners of your eye to brighten up!
After that, use a color similar to your bronzer – one containing shimmer – and apply it to the bottom outer corners of your eye. (For this step, I used Stila’s “Sunset” eye shadow color.)
Once your eye shadow is complete, finish it off with any brown eyeliner and mascara of your choice.
Step 3: Get Cheeky
Take your bronzer and apply it to the apples of your cheeks, bringing it up your cheekbone.
Step 4: Sealed with a kiss
Did you know you could turn your powdered eyeshadow or bronzer into a lip color?! Well, you can! Here’s what you do: crumble or dust a small amount of the powder into a small bowl and add 1-2 drops of vegetable glycerin or water. Stir it and voila — lip color! Be sure to moisturize your lips before applying the lip color. Apply it with your finger or a lip brush.

I loved this article . It helps me lot.
This is a wonderful idea! I have done something similar by applying a peachy colored blusher to my eyelids, looks great too but I am definitely going to try bronzer as well! :)
This makeup look is beautiful! I love how soft and natural it looks!
