Announcing our December book club pick: Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert.
It’s the final month of 2015 — have you looked back yet? With a new year approaching, now is the time when many of us take stock of the year that was. What was accomplished? What was successful? And, less exciting, what never made it to fruition? To me, there has always been something about this time of year that’s special; sure, some of it can be attributed to the holidays but, more importantly it’s the knowledge that soon we’ll be starting anew. Looking back to look forward. New year, new inspiration, new avenues to explore.
When it came time to choose the next book club pick, I knew exactly which title to select. It’s one I’ve heard great buzz around — and I’m generally one who resists buzz in most forms (I’m stubborn like that) — and the perfect book with which to usher in a new year. Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert explores the mysterious nature of creativity and inspiration and how we might better approach infusing our lives with what we’re passionate about. As we rocket towards 2016, resolution lists in hand, join me each week to discuss a new section of this creativity-amplifying book. Our first discussion will take place next Friday, so be sure to pick it up and crack it open this weekend.
+ Will you be participating in this month’s book club?
