Behind the Scenes of Kaleidoscope Skies

Go behind the scenes of our long-awaited festival lookbook, Kaleidoscope Skies.

Festival season has officially begun and, before long, we’ll again find ourselves fully immersed in music and culture as pioneered by Woodstock and Monterey Pop. Music festivals have changed dramatically since the 60s, but one thing remains constant — the love for music, the beauty that is the massive Coachella, muddy Bonnoroo, or this weekend’s Treefort… music festivals bring people from all walks of life together in the name of music.

Today we launch our newest festival lookbook, Kaleidoscope Skies. Have a peek behind the scenes below and head to Free People to shop the entire collection!

Hey Free People!

Are you kidding with the headdress and the Wampum bracelets? How is this still a mistake that brands are making in 2016?

I think this is one of my favorite blog articles on this site thus far. All the clothing is amazing and i really love the washed out hues of the photographs. 5 stars for this post, Free People!

Disappointed

I normally love this brand and read this blog daily to help me get through a rather busy and hectic lifestyle, but appropriating culture is really not okay… And I’m really disappointed that a brand that usually inspires me in a variety of ways would disrespect other cultures like this.
You’re supposed to represent mindfulness, creativity, and freedom. How can you hope to represent freedom and creativity when you appropriate culture from groups of people who are repressed in our society?
I expected more from you.
