You belong among the wildflowers, You belong somewhere you feel free.
A friend recently said that spring is the most beautiful time of year because it means rebirth for the earth. Snow begins to melt, daylight lingers longer, and temperatures begin to rapidly warm. New plant life “springs forth” and is literally born into another new year. Wildflowers bloom where snow once deadened the ground, with vibrant blossoms now taking over.
I love to think of spring as a rebirth for us, too. Though we go through challenging and dark times, and it feels as though we’ll never make it through “winter”, we can find rest in the fact that “spring” is on its way. Days will get warmer. The wildflowers will blossom. The snow will melt. We belong to live in the renewal that springs offers. We belong among the wildflowers.
You belong among the wildflowers
You belong in a boat out at sea
You belong with your love on your arm
You belong somewhere you feel free.
Run away, go find a lover
Run away, let your heart be your guide
You deserve the deepest of cover
You belong in that home by and by.
You belong among the wildflowers
You belong somewhere close to me
Far away from your trouble and worry
You belong somewhere you feel free
You belong somewhere you feel free.
