Behind the Scenes: Free People Pet Project

It’s that time again… get ready for some serious cuteness!

This post comes from our blog intern, Emily.

It’s that time again… time for some serious cuteness. For the latest in our Free People Pet Project collection, we partnered with FP fave Philly PAWS who provided us with the best models in town.

For those unfamiliar, PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society) is the city’s largest non-profit no-kill shelter and low-cost clinic, serving pet owners and rescue organizations in Philly and beyond with affordable basic veterinary care. Their mission? To make Philadelphia a place where every healthy and treatable pet is guaranteed a home and the care they need to be healthy and happy. We’ve worked with PAWS since the launch of our Pet Project collection to bring awareness to the adoptable animals available in the city’s shelter — you may remember our recent collaboration with pet photographer Sophie Gamand — and we hope to bring this same awareness beyond our own city limits to show just how worthy of love these animals are. In fact, many of the dogs happily accompanying FP peeps to the office (or cats chilling out in their homes) are PAWS alums!

Needless to say, it was a day filled with all things adorable, hilarious, and fun. Here’s a peek behind the scenes of the shoot!

Oh my goodness, the cuteness!!!!! Aw:). These guys are adorable.
Just a general reminder, too: if you’re not in Philly, there are still shelters in just about every city. Consider adoption!
