These three easy-to make-smoothies will certainly cool you down this summer…
I have a peculiar relationship with smoothies. I go in and out of love for them like a confused teenager. I adore smoothies, get bored, look elsewhere, but I always come back. It’s a love story all too familiar.
You may wonder where am I right now in this complex romance? Well, it’s funny that you ask. After a few months away, I am excited to say that I’m getting my toes wet again. I’m back in, you guys! This time I am over the moon about using the freshest SUMMER ingredients available. I’m talking watermelon, strawberries and blueberries. These smoothies will cool you down AND keep you coming back for more. Forever in love.

Ingredients:
1 cup blueberries
1 or 2 frozen bananas (I prefer two)

1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
3/4 cup almond milk
1 handful ice cubes
Blend together until smooth. Add more blueberries to taste.
Refreshing Watermelon and Cucumber Smoothie

2 cups cubed frozen seedless watermelon

I can definitely relate with being in love with smoothies and then forgetting about them, only to fall back in love with them again. I’m so glad I found this post during the phase where I’m back in love with them! The cucumber and watermelon one is new for me. Looking forward to trying it!

The blueberry one looks good, but my all time favorite summer smoothie is frozen bananas, almond milk, a spoon of both peanut butter and cocoa powder, and half a cup of frozen kale. I swear it tastes like a milkshake. Sometimes, especially when it’s unbearably hot, my husband and I have these for dinner!
