Because Sundays are for rejuvenation…
To break my Sunday cycle, I started off by telling myself this: You are a beautiful, hard-working, selfless being, and you deserve this time. Treat yourself.
So I did. Three things, every Sunday, for myself. I’m sharing them to give y’all some ideas, and hopefully inspire you to take a day off—completely—and cater to your needs. Follow along with this series if you feel like “you” time is missing.
Just Go.
I may or may not have driven 12 hours last weekend to the beach. On a whim, mind you. I’m not suggesting you do that today. Well, maybe I am, because it was exactly what I needed and totally fun (minus the snow storm on the way there, with truckers roaring down a mountain), but moving forward. Today, I want you to be spontaneous. If your heart is telling you to go be somewhere, even if it’s last minute and you are a bit unsure, go for it. Try.
Explore.
Both your mental and physical health. Take 30 minutes and focus on the connection between mind and body. My favorite way to do this? Going for a long walk. I took one by the sea last Sunday, and my goodness, I felt like a new woman when I finished. The coast was grey, salty mist was dancing around me, and I let everything go. I disconnected from my stresses and focused on my energy and the beauty surrounding me. If you aren’t up for walking, try stretching someplace inspiring and peaceful.
Dream.
Think of what happiness means to you. Words, ideas, goals. Scribble that down, and save it. This activity will be comforting and nostalgic to you, I promise. Happiness to me is a banana split-colored beach house surrounded by succulents.
I’m challenging you to clear your schedule today and do 3 things for yourself. You work your butt off, and deserve some time for yourself. If you try this out, let me know how it went, and if you feel rested and rejuvenated, let’s keep this up.
Well, I didn’t explore today since I had duties, but I did yesterday and it made me feel so good. I went for a long walk by a beach, like you. It had been a LONG time since I went to the sea’s edge but it definitely motivated me to go out more from now on!

The days when I could go for a walk on the beach were wonderful but walking anywhere is now a big problem. Nowadays for that peaceful feeling I would drive to near the beach and watch the sea in its various moods. It takes me to anywhere I wish to go in my head but I feel really there. That’s ,the most peaceful place I can imagine and I always feel as one with it – my birth sign is one of the water signs. If you don’t take time out titnuiyyyjunuu
I’ve always thought of Sundays as just a really depressing down day, but posts like this have made me realise that I can change that, and I now use them to just focus on me! Whether it’s blogging, working out, exploring with my camera, I use it as a ‘me day’ rather than just a day I mope around being sad x

Every time I go to the beach is the best thing I can do for myself. Not only is exhilarating but so relaxing plus I have a long talk with myself and the universe. So glad you shared. -Jocelyne from resonatecreations.com

Yes yes yes, whenever I have a day off, I try to get out and about in some shape or form!
I really need to learn to take the time out to do these things. I love the idea of picking one or two to do on a Sunday as a bit of a reset. Going on a beachy walk sounds perfect to me right now

I love this! I especially find going for walks along the coastline in my city just instantly makes me feel a lot less stressed and much more peaceful.

PLEASE make more calendars, I loved them so much
What a lovely idea. I have been wanting to go explore a town out west but have been sitting on it because it’s 2 hours away, but if you can drive 12 hours I can certainly do 2!
Cheers for the inspo :)

What u have shared sounds like a sweet dream to the humans living in the third world where roads are jam packed with different categories of vehicles and illiterate people and beaches have been turned out to the cavities of pollution and walking in a park or around a beach is an open opportunity to be robbed. Still we can imagine and proceed to be a civilized generation. Thanks and love
Great tips! I think we all need more time to just do stuff that we want to do.
I love the idea of just go! Adventures on a whim usually turn out to be the best and most memorable adventures.

It’s so important to give us those times to really wander and see where we naturally go. We appreciate our alone time when we make it something special and just for us.
