Free People Horoscope by Tracy Allen, Week of November 6–12

Social butterfly or cozy cocoon? Only the stars know… let Tracy Allen fill you in on what’s happening this week.

October 23–November 21

While Mercury moves through your worth house, devote some of your bandwidth to budgeting, taking stock of your possessions and getting your priorities straight based on what’s most valuable to you. Financial negotiations and planning are favored during this transit. Venus saunters into your sign this week, gifting you with a whopping dose of je ne sais quoi. You’ll have no trouble drawing people to you, as you’re oozing charm and have the law of attraction firmly on your side. Venus can make you feel extra pretty and pleasant, leading to plenty of flirting and socializing. Enjoy! Saturn and Uranus are staging the third act of a three-act play (the first two happened on December 24, 2016 and May 19, 2017), encouraging you to do some things by the book and go off-script with others. Their point is you can’t keep doing the same way thing, expecting different results. You’re concerned about your long-term security and to shore it up, you need to seek fresh job opportunities; revive your work ethic; play with your schedule; adopt new methods and habits; learn different skills; make better use of technology; and stay flexible enough to conquer whatever challenges come your way. Clarify your bottom line, but also be open to different ways of earning an income. And coming at it from another angle: Valuing your body will dovetail with changing your diet or exercise regimen and improving your overall wellness.

November 22–December 21

Although Mercury’s trip through Sagittarius is giving you the gift of gab, Venus is slipping into your retreat corner, dialing down your sociability and luring you to tune into your desires. You might spend some time alone recovering from a heartbreak and finally close that chapter of your love life. Or you might relish private time with your sweetie, connecting on a more soulful level than usual. You’re apt to crave escapist pleasures but could also put someone else’s wants before your own. Saturn has his last dance with Uranus this week (they already twirled on December 24, 2016 and May 19, 2017), offsetting gravity with levity. You’ve been carving out a clearer identity, defining yourself on your own terms, and you might feel cut off from people at times by this process. But Uranus has jolted you with creative bursts, moments of pure joy and perhaps an unexpected or out-of-the-ordinary source of love or happiness. You have something unique to contribute to the world, and you need to present your contribution with authority. You might promote something quirky through traditional channels or express your feelings for a worthy cause now. Insights into your personality and what fulfills you will help you put a plan in place to get where you want to go. You may fear you’ll lose freedom if you buy into a system, but this planetary pairing enables you to make the system work for you.

December 22–January 19

With Mercury hiding out in the last house of your chart, you might feel like your brain is on hiatus, but your imagination and intuition are firing on all cylinders. Even if linear thinking seems to be switched off, you can still learn something during this transit. Pay attention to your dreams, keep a journal, listen to your hunches and reflect on the past in search of lessons. Venus waltzes into your network sector this week, setting a completely different tone. One side of you is up for socializing and willing to go along to get along. You could make new friends and contacts by attending big gatherings and working the room, so get out and mingle. Saturn is completing his three-part assignment with Uranus (continued from December 24, 2016 and May 19, 2017), giving you further incentive to wrap up old business so you can move on with your life. These planets keep signaling to you that an ending is really a beginning. Believe them! Clinging to the past won’t give you a sense of security, even though you’d think it might. Have you been in denial over the cause of disruption? Whether it’s a relative, a roomie or your own anxiety, dealing with it will lighten your load. Your emotional equilibrium, your living situation or your family dynamic will improve when you make peace with where you are in your life and look to the future.

January 20–February 18

Bounce your ideas off other people, now that Mercury is zinging through your group-and-tech zone. Give yourself permission to contemplate new goals, even as you continue to make strides toward existing ones. Network to make fresh contacts, and stay connected to your extended squad via your apps of choice. Venus’s ascent to your achievement angle nudges you to polish your public and professional image, dressing for the part you want to play. It also naturally boosts your appeal with higher-ups and allows you to show how well you can work with others. This week, your co-ruling planets, Uranus and Saturn, are holding their last of three summits (the first two were on December 24, 2016 and May 19, 2017), giving you even more motivation to connect with people. Continue to think outside the box, like the trailblazing Aquarius you are, but also join forces with others who share your ideals, objectives or interests. Assemble a team who can help you turn your dreams into a reality or consult a range of people with whom you can brainstorm. Be there for a friend when she needs a nonjudgmental ear and words of wisdom. Seek out collaborations with people you can learn from, and be ready to follow up on a contact or piece of info that can open new doors.

February 19–March 20

Mental Mercury is hovering at the peak of your chart, turning your attention to goals, persuading you to make professional plans and sharpening your communication with authority figures. With Venus dancing into your expansion corner, the appeal of difference grows. You might get into a long-distance relationship or find yourself drawn to someone who’s not your usual type. And if you have a partner, traveling or learning together is a surefire way to get closer. Saturn and Uranus are wrapping up their business together, which began on December 24, 2016. (Part Deux took place on May 19, 2017.) You’ve put your nose to the grindstone in order to achieve a goal or climb the career ladder, and it’s made a difference in your bank balance and/or self-esteem — or is about to. If you have an unusual talent, put it on full display. It’s not so much about what you possess and what you have going for you as much as it’s about how you use those resources. If you’ve earned a seat at the table, what seems like a financial gamble probably isn’t so risky after all. Being comfortable in a leadership role or a position with greater responsibility can free you of anxieties about what you need to get out of it. Hopefully you’ll notice now that the equation is solving itself.

March 21–April 19

Mercury’s recent arrival in your expansion corner widens your lens, revealing the big picture. You’ll start to think bigger and may get the urge to travel or explore unfamiliar territory by learning something new. You’re interested in piecing together meaning and exchanging views and can soak up lots of knowledge during this transit. Venus is segueing into your depth zone, and this transit has an altogether different flavor. Part of you will crave closeness in the weeks to come. You’ll be more inclined to spend quality one-on-one time with people who are special to you than spread yourself thin at big gatherings. With Saturn teaming up with Uranus in Aries for their final round (the first and second took place on December 24, 2016 and May 19, 2017), the pieces of the puzzle continue to fall into place. As you change on a personal level and figure out more and more about life, you’re envisioning your place in the world—and it’s probably not the same as it was a few years ago. How does the new you fit into the system you’ve been learning to navigate? There’s a way to blend your urge for a radical shakeup with your hard-earned knowledge of how things work, and these planets want you to discover it. Give your revolution staying power by crafting a long-range visionary plan.

April 20–May 20

April 20–May 20

Now that Mercury is tucked away in your depth-and-sharing zone, dialogue is apt to become more powerful and personal. You might disclose private feelings or gain insight into your complexities through introspection. Your ruling planet crosses your one-on-one angle this week, creating harmony in your relationships. You could feel more in sync with your significant other and more comfortable expressing affection for people. If you’re in the market for a long-term connection, Venus can up the chances of clicking with someone. Saturn and Uranus are getting together for a last hurrah, after aligning on December 24, 2016 and May 19, 2017. You’ve been diving deep into introspection and/or intimacy, as Saturn challenged you to come to terms with who you are inside and master the art of give-and-take. The taskmaster planet has pushed you to learn to live with yourself — warts and all — and to learn to live with others, even if you have different needs and priorities. Uranus is shaking up your subconscious, bringing startling revelations to the surface and triggering sudden events that can often be traced back to your own subliminal drives. With these heavyweights teaming up, psychological growth, emotional liberation and relationship stability are within reach, especially if you confront hidden issues. Bulls tend to equate change with instability, but if you loosen your grip, you should recognize steady progress.

May 21–June 20

Your ruling planet, Mercury, recently skipped into your partnership angle, opening the lines of communication between you and other individuals. This is a great transit for negotiations and consultations, and you should be able to clear the air with someone close to you if need be. Next, Venus pirouettes into your productivity corner, encouraging you to play nice with colleagues, do creative work, help out people you care about and shower your pets with love. Also highly favored: getting healthy with a partner or meeting someone while you’re improving your health. If you’re single, that’s your cue to wear your most flattering workout gear to the gym! Saturn and Uranus are tangoing for the third time, completing a dance that began on December 24, 2016 and continued on May 19, 2017. Togetherness and independence don’t seem mutually exclusive when these two planets join forces. You can commit to someone and still feel free to pursue your own interests, maintain your separate friendships and maintain some quirkiness in even the most conventional relationship. You might have formed a partnership with a pal or peer or met a dependable mentor through networking. This pairing of power-players can teach you the value of building connections that stand the test of time, while continuing to bring new people into your life.

June 21–July 22

With mental Mercury buzzing through your efficiency corner, your critical thinking is on point, and details aren’t likely to escape your notice. You’re focused on the tasks in front of you and able to formulate practical plans. There’s a danger of becoming too critical (and self-critical), so ease up if you’re tormenting yourself or others with perfectionism. Venus’s grand entrance into your joy sector lures you out of your Crab shell and onto the dance floor. You’ll feel more romantic, creative and fun-loving under this influence, so make time for play and pleasure. As Saturn and Uranus team up for the third and final time (they already partnered on December 24, 2016 and May 19, 2017), it should be readily apparent that the hard work you’ve been doing is making a difference. Whether you’re constructing a skillset for a career switch or paying your dues to catch the attention of higher-ups, it’s paying off. Chances are you’re toiling away and earning more freedom and fresh opportunities. This planetary combo allows you to back up your innovative ideas with old-school blood, sweat and tears. You can be excited about where you’re headed and still stay grounded enough to progress step by step. Self-improvement efforts, such as a diet or fitness regimen, will benefit from a blend of diligence and experimentation.

July 23–August 22

You might be inspired to put your feelings into words, do some creative writing, show off your sense of humor, play intellectually challenging games or read for pleasure, thanks to Mercury’s move into your happiness sector. As Venus sneaks into your foundation angle, the comforts of home and family become ever more alluring. Socializing may take a backseat to self-care and cocooning, although you could also switch into entertaining mode and play hostess this month. Cozy and familiar are buzzwords now, boosting the appeal of hanging with your fam, roomies or people you’ve known forever. But with Saturn and Uranus aligning for the last time (their trio of meetings spans December 24, 2016, May 19, 2017 and November 11, 2017), a calculated risk may be in order. You’ve learned so much about yourself in the last few years; now you can weigh what you’re willing to put on the line in your quest to fulfill your potential. Breaking open your belief system allows you to push past self-imposed limits. You might find that the person you’re becoming doesn’t see the world from quite the same angle as the old you. The work you’ve done to find yourself has beget fresh perceptions. Showing people what you’re made of and embracing a wider range of possibilities for your future are better bets than playing it too safe.

August 23–September 22

Mercury is hiding out at the bottom of your chart, putting you in touch with your innermost emotions and making it easier for you to articulate them. Memories might be swirling around in your head, and your thoughts could also turn to family and home. If you’re finding it difficult to focus on the present, make time for productive reflection or confide in someone you feel safe with. Venus is making her way into your thinking-and-talking corner, so it should get even easier for you to express how you feel. Your pleasant mindset can inspire you to socialize, flirt and maybe develop a crush or two. This week’s Saturn-Uranus collaboration is the last of three, leading back to December 24, 2016 and May 19, 2017. You might receive financial or emotional support from your parents or significant other under this influence; expect it when you least expect it. You may have noticed resolving issues from the past has made you feel increasingly secure — ultimately allowing you to take more chances in your personal life. Psychological or sexual liberation has been a byproduct of your maturation process. Taking responsibility for your emotional wellbeing makes you less dependent on what someone else brings to the table, and that frees you to get close to people without needing them to be your everything. Win-win!

September 23–October 22

Your synapses are firing and you have a silver tongue, thanks to Mercury traipsing through your thinking-and-talking zone. Put all that cleverness to good use by reading, writing and most of all, learning. Your ruling planet makes a graceful exit from Libra this week and sashays into your worth house, potentially increasing your spending and/or your income. If you want to err on the side of caution, you might curb extravagance while seizing opportunities to bring in more money. Saturn and Uranus are meeting for the last time, finishing up a cycle that began on December 24, 2016 and continued on May 19, 2017. You may be coming to terms with a relationship change or viewing someone new in your life through a realistic lens. An important convo could arise unexpectedly and go very well, shifting a relationship for the better—even if that means an amicable parting. The combination of taking your truth seriously and still allowing others to be who they’re going to be will work for you. You might snag a mentor or meet a person who’s capable of going the distance as a partner. Knowing your own mind is a good thing, but you should also give people a chance to surprise you. You’re probably clear on what you’re looking for, and yet, unconventional relationships are favored during this transit. In your sound planning, leave wiggle room for unpredictable connections.

  1. Ah an amicable parting :( These are the only horoscopes I read and sometimes I feel like I almost force whatever it says into existence because I believe in it so much.
