3 Things To Do Today: Self-Care Edition

Because Sundays are for rejuvenation…

To break the monotony of my usual Sunday cycle, I started off by telling myself this: You are a beautiful, hard-working, selfless being, and you deserve this time. Treat yourself.

So I did. Three things, every Sunday, for myself. I’m sharing them to give y’all some ideas, and hopefully inspire you to take a day off — completely — and cater to your needs. Follow along with this series if you feel like your “you” time is missing.

I’ve been in serious need of a self-care day. The winter weather has been brutal on my skin, work has been crazy, and as January has flown by, I forget the last day I relaxed and took care of myself. I’m staying at home today, and practicing a bit of self-care.

Slow Down. Roll out of bed today slowly. Do a few stretches, and take some deep breaths. Heat up some warm water with lemon. Sip, throw on a robe, and lay back down in bed for 30 minutes. This jumpstarts my digestion for the day.

Undereye Care. You have an entire day to take care of your body. Put on some Eye Gels if you have them — if not, cool some aloe in the freezer and rub underneath your eye. The longer you can wear the gel, the better the effects. I’m planning on keeping mine on for about 8 hours today to heal the tired bags that have grown beneath my eyes during these past few crazy work weeks. I love that I can be multi-tasking while these do their job and stick to my face. They truly work wonders for the thin-prone skin in that area. By the end of this regime, those dark purple circles should clear up a bit for a fresh face heading into next week.

Head To Toe. After your shower, take 15 minutes to moisturize. My skin has been suffocating lately. This multi-use body oil is great for healing cracked skin. Anytime I use this vitamin-packed, super absorbent oil, my skin feels totally refreshed and happy. Sit on a towel, and work the oil from the tips of your toes, all the way up. Massage into your hand to heat it up, and push the oil deep into your skin.

I’m challenging you to clear your schedule today and do 3 things for yourself. You work your butt off, and deserve some “me” time. If you try this out, let me know how it went, and if you feel rested and rejuvenated, let’s keep this up.

Undereye care is something I’m definitely doing today! Sunday’s a great day for a little bit of self-pampering. ❤️

I definitely need more time to moisturize
Can’t believe how busy the week has been and skin care has just been very superficial. Sunday should officially be spa day!
