AriesARIES

March 21–April 19

Silence is golden this week because not only is Mercury — the communication planet — traveling retrograde, but it’s also picking fights with both Mars and Saturn, making it extra difficult for you to get your point across without ruffling feathers. You may also find it challenging to figure out your next move and maintain a can-do attitude. Mars and Saturn are meeting up in your ambition angle, so any progress you make will be quite measured, and the laborious pace can be extra annoying for a speedy Ram. Resist the urge to fight the powers that be, and instead, continue methodically pushing that boulder up the hill. Believe it or not, you’ll get there eventually. With Venus and Saturn in cahoots, you can attract what you need thanks to the work you’re doing, so keep your eyes open for an opportunity to earn income. Be clear on what’s most valuable to you and invest wisely.

TaurusTAURUS

April 20–May 20

When Mars and Saturn coalesce in your exploration corner, your drive to break new ground may wane, and you’ll end up spinning your wheels if you keep trying to advance in leaps and bounds. Take smaller, well-thought-out steps based on what you know, then concentrate intently on gaining further knowledge. With Mercury backtracking in the last house of your chart and skirmishing with Mars and Saturn at the moment, you’re facing a triple whammy of communication breakdown. You’d be wise to say very little, since you’re liable to blurt out whatever is floating around in the back of your head. Private study and research are your best bets for putting these tricky transits to good use. And lucky for you: Venus is gracing your sign and schmoozing with Saturn, helping you charm a professor or mentor without really trying or draw in people who have something to teach you.

GeminiGEMINI

May 21–June 20

A Mars-Saturn summit in your depth-and-merging house suggests you could hit an impasse in a close relationship or in trying to secure outside resources such as a loan. A disagreement over money may go nowhere and leave you seething, so don’t try to coerce anyone. A sexual connection can seem like a nonstarter under this influence, and trying to talk about it probably won’t help matters. That’s because Mercury’s completely out of sorts at the moment — and besides messing up one-on-one communication, it could also stir up a hornet’s nest in your squad. There could be a misunderstanding involving mistrust, jealousy or sharing, and you should do your best to rise above it. Venus’s chemistry with Saturn can save the day, coaxing you to put your personal desires second. Selflessness and kindness won’t go unrewarded. You could even end up getting what you want while helping someone else.

CancerCANCER

June 21–July 22

You may find yourself at loggerheads with another individual when Mars and Saturn link up in your one-on-one angle this week, possibly bringing a collaboration to a screeching halt. Although it can seem like someone is acting against you, don’t allow yourself to become provoked. Mercury, who’s already not at its best due to the retrograde phase, is sparring with Mars and Saturn. So you might come off sounding imperious and set someone off or back them into a corner. And although you probably know what you’re talking about, it could feel like you’re talking to a brick wall. Thankfully, Venus in your network zone is gelling with Saturn, nudging you to enjoy the company of friends and other people whom you value. Commit to putting in the effort when a bond is important to you. Even the best relationships require work sometimes, and they’re worth it!

LeoLEO

July 23–August 22

This week’s Mars-Saturn rendezvous takes place in your productivity corner, so although you may find it arduous to work in tandem with colleagues, you should be able to apply yourself to challenging tasks with a great deal of determination. You’ll balk at the feeling of being under someone’s thumb, so work independently if you can. It might be a good idea to focus on a project that benefits others and approach it with painstaking care. Don’t scatter your energy or run yourself ragged. Mercury is retrograde in your outlook house and throwing darts at both Mars and Saturn. So your opinions about how everything should be handled could miss the mark and rile someone. You’re much better off revising your philosophy and using this fresh perspective to motivate yourself, not others. Since Venus is getting along beautifully with Saturn, your work ethic can cast you in a favorable light with higher-ups, so keep at it!

VirgoVIRGO

August 23–September 22

A creative endeavor or love affair could lose steam when Mars and Saturn collide this week. You’re inclined to do as you please while the go-getter planet plows through your fulfillment house, but Saturn tends to nix pleasure in favor of work. Slowing down and taking baby steps could very well pay off, whether you’re pursuing romance, artistic achievement or fun. However, retrograde Mercury is at odds with Mars and Saturn, warning you not to count on good communication and clear thinking to get you through this rough patch. Unfortunately, mutual understanding and self-understanding are apt to elude you, and you could get angry at someone or annoyed with yourself. Getting out of your comfort zone and everyday routine and enjoying unfamiliar pleasures will be incredibly satisfying. An attraction to a different person, culture or place could turn into a long-term passion, so explore and experiment.

LibraLIBRA

September 23–October 22

You might get into an emotional rut this week, due to a Mars-Saturn meetup in your foundation angle. Monitor your mood and see if you can inch your way out of it with a dose of self-care. If you slip into an old behavior pattern, try to catch yourself when you start regressing. You can be productive around the house if you use your energy wisely and focus on specific projects rather than taking a stab at bits and pieces. Mercury is still backtracking and currently at war with Mars and Saturn, so someone’s words could rub you the wrong way, or a misunderstanding could put you in a funk. Agree to disagree, and if there’s any way you can use the friction to motivate yourself, do it! Venus is vibing with Saturn, luring you to enjoy the company of someone you feel safe with. Intimacy is very grounding now, and a close relationship may become more serious.

Scorpio
SCORPIO

October 23–November 21

With Mars and Saturn merging in your cognition-and-communication sector, your motivated mindset could take a pessimistic turn. It’s tempting to focus on what can’t be done, but instead, you should strive to come up with a detailed plan of attack and tackle rigorous mental work. Shake off that glass-half-empty attitude and avoid getting into arguments if you’re irritable or discouraged. Mercury is retrograde and knee deep in conflicts with Mars and Saturn, which could make you overly critical. You might be too hard on siblings and coworkers especially, so soften your tone. Even though structured thinking is a plus now, try not to obsess over details and get stuck in a mental loop. Venus’s chemistry with Saturn encourages you to devise a solid strategy for meeting prospective partners if you’re looking for love — or to take someone you already know more seriously. A mature convo can put you back on the same page with a person you care about.

SagittariusSAGITTARIUS

November 22–December 21

You’ll probably show more restraint with your spending when impulsive Mars bumps into restrictive Saturn in your value zone this week. Although you might get fed up if you feel like you don’t have enough resources to work with, this is an excellent time to pare down your possessions or come up with a savvy financial strategy. Since Mercury is still in its backspin mode and tussling with Mars and Saturn at the moment, you may be thinking optimistically about love, creativity or pleasure and then run into the roadblock of seemingly not having what it takes. Reminiscing about—or reconnecting with—an ex can bring up old insecurities and perhaps tempt you to risk too much. But with Venus playing nice with Saturn, a realistic view of relationships and a desire for someone reliable will keep you on terra firma. Bonus: Creative work might generate a steady income under this influence!

CapricornCAPRICORN

December 22–January 19

This week’s Mars-Saturn conference transpires in Capricorn, giving you the sensation of driving a car with the parking brake on. Mars has you all fired up to take on the world, but Saturn says not so fast. Continuing to go full-tilt would be an exercise in futility. Why not downshift and spend your energy in a more systematic way, focusing on specific, achievable goals? Retrograde Mercury is sparring with Mars and Saturn, upping the odds that an emotional conversation will get to you. A knee-jerk reaction or attempt to shut someone down wouldn’t be the best way to go. Memories and other private thoughts could also throw you off-track and make you less productive. Fortunately, Venus in your fulfillment zone is forming an alliance with Saturn, allowing romance, humor, creativity and fun to lighten your spirits. A loved one could draw you out, and you might have a positive experience of being cherished for who you really are.

AquariusAQUARIUS

January 20–February 18

When Mars and Saturn join up in the last house of your chart, you might get the aggravating feeling that you’ve painted yourself into a corner. An old pattern of behavior can take you right back to the same place you’ve been before, and self-sabotage could get the best of you. Don’t try to confront anyone or assert yourself too much. Direct your efforts towards disciplined, behind-the-scenes work, breaking it down into incremental steps so you don’t backslide. Mercury is still traveling retrograde, and it’s arguing with Mars and Saturn, creating an internal conflict that can cause you to lash out unintentionally. Don’t dwell on the negative, because lovely Venus in your foundation angle is gelling with Saturn, giving you a chance to get into a better mood. Enjoying the comforts of home or the company of family will help you make peace with where you’re at in your life and appreciate what — or whom — you can depend on.

PiscesPISCES

February 19–March 20

A confab between Mars and Saturn in your network sector could bring a group effort to a standstill this week, and if you keep trying to barrel ahead, you might feel like you’re spinning your wheels. Proceed more carefully, and follow some sort of plan. Teamwork can get frustrating, but try not to think of other people as being in your way. Focus on coordinating your actions with theirs and staying organized as a cohesive unit. Retrograde Mercury’s spats with Mars and Saturn hint at possible disagreements over resources, money or priorities, and group interests may seem at odds with what you think you need. Luckily, Venus is cozying up to Saturn, enabling you to stay positive, give others the benefit of the doubt, use your social skills, do some professional networking and enjoy what you can accomplish when you connect with the right people.
