Detoxing Your Personal Care Routine with Kopari

Kopari co-founder Gigi Goldman on why now is the perfect time to kick out toxins and welcome more natural alternatives into our day-to-day routines…

Spring means warmer weather, more sunshine and an opportunity to cleanse yourself of everything that doesn’t serve you. No better place to start than with your personal care routine.

Kopari Coconut Deodorant

Time to empower your pits with coconut oil, the ingredient at the heart of Kopari’s new aluminum- and baking soda-free deodorant. Lucky for us, Kopari’s deo glides easily, and without the stickiness we may be accustomed to with other products. In other words, it WORKS! It will outlast your longest days and leave you smelling of sweet coconut milk.

It is not unusual for your body to take time to adjust to a deodorant change, sometimes known as a deo detox. You may find you sweat more and produce body odor — don’t sweat it (pun intended), as this is a normal part of the process. Your pores will begin to unclog, allowing them the opportunity to function the way they’re intended to (usually in about two weeks).

Kopari Coconut Oil Pullers

Oil pulling — the queen of oral hygiene. Most people claim that their mouths feel amazing after practicing this ancient Ayurvedic routine — getting rid of grit, whitening teeth naturally and freshening breath. Oil pulling takes time and patience — eventually, you should be able to swish (BUT DO NOT SWALLOW!) coconut oil in your mouth for about 20 minutes, first thing in the morning. You can do it while showering, watching TV, brewing tea. Just be sure you spit it out in a trash can and not down a drain, where the oil is susceptible to clogging.

As always, remember to floss and brush after oil pulling. Kopari’s convenient, easy-to-use oil pulling pouches are available in several natural flavors, including mint and tropical. It just might become something you can’t live without.

I used to oil-pull daily, but I stopped for some reason. Definitely want to get back to it!
