Office Style: Meet Una

“I’m always inspired by Mediterranean women — their confidence, effortless approach to fashion and ability to embrace aging with grace.”

Your position at Free People…

Associate Digital Marketing Manager.

Describe your personal style…

Feminine with a splash of boho and an eye for comfort. In warmer months, I like to play with neutral tones, pops of color and am almost always wearing a dress, while in cooler months I gravitate towards black and all things cozy and oversized.

What makes you feel confident?

I’m a big believer in confidence starting from the inside out. For me that means working out, getting a good night’s rest and eating well most of the time (though Sour Patch Kids are my spirit animal).

Who is your style icon?

My parents are from Croatia, so I was fortunate to grow up with an influence of European culture. I’m always inspired by Mediterranean women — their confidence, effortless approach to fashion and ability to embrace aging with grace.

Favorite part of your job?

My focus is on Consumer Insights, so I have the really fun job of exploring who our customer is, how she engages with Free People and what she’d love to see from us. The fact that I’m also surrounded by smart, inspiring people, cute dogs and a vibrant company culture is the icing on the cake.

What are your beauty + wellness must-haves?

No matter how tired or busy I am, I always make time for my skincare routine. Tried and true products include Biologique Recherche’s Lotion P50, Maya Chia eye serum, Honest Hazel eye gels and a rotation of my favorite cleansers, serums and oils, depending on what my skin needs. More recently, I’ve also loved using Skin Gym’s Gua Sha tool before bed.

For makeup, I try to keep it natural and dewy with Kjaer Weis foundation and cream blush, Lilah B. bronzer, Ogee lip oil, Kosas lipsticks and Lily Lolo’s mascara and illuminator.

I also drink water religiously and take two supplements daily: RMS Beauty Within Probiotic + Prebiotic and Herbalore Catalyst Gold Capsules.

What do you do outside of Free People?

I’m happiest when I’m able to work out, spend time with the people I love and binge watch my favorite shows. My husband and I joke that we’re 80-year-olds at heart because our ideal Friday night includes curling up on the couch with a glass of wine in hand and Dateline on the TV.

If you had to wear one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Weather-permitting — dresses, hands down.

Your favorite (upcoming) trend…

I’m excited to pull the trigger on my first-ever pair of cowboy boots and some leopard print!

Best concert you’ve attended OR dream concert you’d love to attend.

Leon Bridges. My husband and I are recently married and ‘Beyond’ was our first dance song. It puts a smile on my face every time I listen to it and I can’t wait to experience the magic of hearing it live in concert next week.

Most embarrassing outfit you’ve ever worn.

There are a few middle school outfits I’d press the rewind button on…

One piece of advice you’d give your younger self.

Mom always knows best, and stay away from the Sun-In.

What’s the first thing you’d do if you won the lottery today?

Travel the world with the people I love most! First stop on the list: New Zealand.

I have been reading this blog (no where near as often as I used to) for years. I used to love these posts. I wish there were more photos of the highlighted employee’s style like there used to be. I feel like this blog has become more wellness and skincare and lifestyle which I love and can appreciate, but Free People is fashion and a clothing retailer first so where has the fashion gone? I want to see more of how people are wearing the brand. Please, consider making these office style posts more than just a few snaps of the same outfit and showcasing the individuals unique take on their FP pieces. Start showing off your FPme fanbase outfits/style more too! I’d love to be able to come here for my style inspiration like I did years ago.
