Office Style: Meet Devon

“It’s hard not to stand a little taller when you’re wearing a great boot or heel!”

Your position at Free People…

Assistant Shoe Buyer.

Describe your personal style…

Easy and on trend. I’ve always been a jeans and a tee shirt type of girl.

What makes you feel confident?

Honestly, a good pair of shoes. It’s hard not to stand a little taller when you’re wearing a great boot or heel!

Who is your style icon?

Julie Sariñana (sincerelyjules)

Favorite part of your job?

Seeing the shoes we buy come to life via the website or catalog!

What are your beauty + wellness must-haves?

I’m a big Sunday Riley fan and I love their Good Genes Serum, Blue Moon Cleansing Balm, and the Brightening Enzyme Water Cream. I also love Pai Rosehip Oil and the Love + Sage Lip Balm.

What do you do outside of Free People?

I try to stay active so, after work most nights, I’m either at the gym or attending a yoga class. I also love to travel and explore new places, especially unique restaurants and shops.

If you had to wear one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I could honestly live in FP Movement. The Shanti Legging, Happiness Runs Tank, and the Mercury Moto Jacket is my weekend uniform.

Wearing: the Lennon Backpack and the Elle Block Heel

Your favorite (upcoming) trend…

Bike shorts! I’ve never been comfortable wearing short shorts so I’m happy that the longer length is back in.

Best concert you’ve attended OR dream concert you’d love to attend

I recently saw Maroon 5 in Nashville. It was my first time in Nashville and it was so much fun! I loved the city and nothing really beats being serenaded by Adam Levine for a couple of hours.

Most embarrassing outfit you’ve ever worn.

Probably my junior prom dress. I wore a bright purple strapless sweetheart gown with a big bow that tied in the front… it was pretty terrible.

One piece of advice you’d give your younger self.

Focus on yourself and the rest will fall into place.

What’s the first thing you’d do if you won the lottery today?

I would repay my parents for all they have done for me. I’d probably book a yoga retreat vacation in a tropical destination for my dad and I (he’s a big yogi) or buy them a beautiful house in the mountains surrounded by nature (where I could visit often 😊).

What’s in your freepeople.com shopping cart?

Time Test Onesie

Levi’s 501 Long Denim Shorts

Melodie Tee

Virgo Performance Top

Ventura Flounce Set

APL Techloom Slide Sandal

Levi’s Mom Overall

Wearing: the Sand In your Toes Embroidered Wrap, and the Saturday Sun Straight-Leg Trousers
