Your Handy Covent Garden Must-See Guide

As we welcome Covent Garden to our roster of Free People stores — and our first official shop overseas — keep note of some nearby notables for tea, for toning up, for taking amazing pictures.

For your Instagram-worthy snap…

Check out the Infinity Chamber in Conduit Court right, next to the Free People store, for the ultimate light show and mirror gaze selfie.

For that snooper’s paradise moment….

Head to Petersham Nurseries, an emporium of trinkets, treasures and exquisite antiques nestled in a green oasis with magical floral displays and artisanal tools to make you the ultimate green thumb.

The best brunch spot….

Love your avocado? Look no further than Avobar! This relaxed but vibrant restaurant is exactly what you you need on a lazy Saturday morning – think warm reclaimed timbers, avo-hued tiles and, of course, a bounty of delicious avocado-based dishes.

The best way to see Covent Garden…

On foot of course, one of the most walking friendly neighborhoods in London, you can stride across the cobbled Piazza and through the historic arches of the Market Building without a double decker bus in sight. And if you need to rest those tired soles, take refuge on one of the floral swings located nearby.

The ultimate Covent Garden experience…

If you know your soprano from your baritone or dreamt of being the lead in the nutcracker, look no further than the Royal Opera House. ‘Covent Garden’ has long been used as a synonym for British opera, thanks to this beautiful and deeply historic venue. If that doesn’t take your fancy, many street performers around the Piazza will stop you in your tracks!

Taking cue from the queen….

Grab afternoon tea around 4pm at The Delaunay for a most quintessential British tradition!

Want to sweat it out….

Head over to boutique gym Another Space, 3 disciplines under one roof. Power through a Beyoncé vs Rhianna ride or punch out with their HIIT boxing class. Finish with a tranquil yoga class for the ultimate namaste after a busy day of shopping.

Where to shop Free People….

Nestled behind Floral Court is home to our first (true) Free People store. Spanning across two floors, 28 Floral Street offers you with our signature styles, essential one-pieces and effortless sets.
