Office Style: Meet Erin

“Write down everything you want for your life and believe you can achieve it. “

Your position at Free People…
Assistant Art Director.

Describe your personal style…
Classic + quirky.

What makes you feel confident?
Feeling healthy and hydrated, good shoes, a (healthy) tan.

Who is your style icon?
Forever – young Kate Moss!
Current – Eliana Rodriguez, Gianna Harms. ;)

Favorite part of your job?
Collaborating with and learning from so many talented people from all over the world. Getting to shoot with some of my favorite talent in amazing locations, and seeing all of the work and concepts come to life.

What are your beauty + wellness must-haves?
Water!!! Rosehip Face Oil, A cold under-eye mask, a good solo hike or run, BoyBrow.

What do you do outside of Free People?
I like to travel as much as possible. I love to camp, hike, boat – really anything outdoors. Having called Scotland, Wyoming, Minnesota, Colorado and California each home throughout my life, I love having access to nature and the water/mountains while still living in the city.
I’m also a photographer and try to shoot as much as I can outside of work. I love painting, reading, live music, raves, exploring new cities (currently Philadelphia!). And if you know me, you know I’m cuddling with my cat Dex anytime I’m home.

Wearing: the Levi’s Cutoff Crop Trucker Jacket, the Piece By Piece Slim Straight-Leg Jeans, and the Vagabond Shoemakers Leather Shoulder Bag.

If you had to wear one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
White jeans + a white tee (obviously stain resistant…) + any shoes that aren’t flip flops.

Your favorite (upcoming) trend…
For me: Sporty-Meets-Femme – I love wearing a comfy hoodie but adding a *barely-there heel* (another trend I’m excited about – our stylists would be proud).
On others: Big on Big and Suiting – I might dabble with both, but tend to gravitate towards trends that make me look taller + younger vs. shorter + older.

Favorite place you’ve ever visited and why?
The Philippines – I’ve visited 12 countries so far, but I’ve visited the Philippines twice and don’t think anywhere can compare for me. Being surrounded by so much family (my mom is from San Carlos City and comes from a family of 15) and just being immersed in their non-competitive, community-based way of life is really the most amazing and humbling experience. I would do that 28-hour flight twice a year if I could make it work.

What song would describe you best?
I Know There’s Gonna Be Good Times – Jamie xx.

Most embarrassing outfit you’ve ever worn.
A see-thru dress….to Coachella :/ … I Know.

Trust me. I know.

One piece of advice you’d give your younger self. (Or 3..)
Be nicer to yourself (and your parents). Write down everything you want for your life and believe you can achieve it. Put your phone away.

What’s the first thing you’d do if you won the lottery today?
Fly myself + my family in America to the Philippines (and give my family there a heap of it!).
