Office Style - Summer Intern Edition: Meet Jackie

As a special Summer treat, we want to introduce you to the newest faces of Free People: the lovely, multi-talented Summer Interns.

In what department are you interning?
Intimates — Buying.

What did you do before starting your internship at FP?
I was working as a Senior Stylist at the Ardmore, PA Free People store, and attending Drexel University.

Where is your hometown and what is your favorite thing about it?
My hometown is Chevy Chase, MD. Best thing about it: so close to DC and just a cool place to grow up. There are so many different kinds of people in the suburbs of DC — I was so lucky to grow up in such an eclectic area.

Favorite thing/place/activity in Philly so far?
My favorite thing about Philly are all of the amazing restaurants. I’m a big foodie and love to try new places. My current favorites: Zahav, Mercato, Sampan, and Harp & Crown.

Best part of interning at FP?
How much I’ve learned since I’ve got here- – I’ve been at Home Office for 3 months, as I’m here for my Drexel Co-op (a six-month internship worked into my plan of study). I’m extremely lucky to have such a patient team, who have spent months training me on all aspects of the buying process and who have made me so comfortable coming into a new job.

What advice would you give to a potential intern?
Take a lot of notes and ask a lot of questions!!
