What did you do before starting your internship at FP?
I’m normally studying at Syracuse University, but this past semester I was fortunate enough to study abroad in Florence, Italy, which was an incredible experience!

Where is your hometown and what is your favorite thing about it?
I am from Long Island, NY — my favorite thing about it is that it’s close to both the beach and NYC, so I get the best of both worlds.

Favorite thing/place/activity in Philly so far?
My favorite place in Philly is called Sunset Social. It’s a rooftop park where my friends and I have picnics, read, or just relax from the week! It’s a really fun environment and has a great view of the city. Being in the city is so fun and I love being able to walk everywhere. 😊

Best part of interning at FP?
The best part is the people, hands down! I am surrounded by so many incredible humans who are insanely talented and intelligent. There are so many opportunities during the internship to do and experience new and different things. It’s incredible to be a small part of the behind-the-scenes of one of my favorite brands.

What advice would you give to a potential intern?
Ask questions! Ask if you don’t understand something — you will learn so much from this. And take tons of notes. Meet as many new people as possible and say yes to every opportunity.

What did you do before starting your internship at FP?
I was and still am a journalism student at Syracuse University – I’ll be going back for my senior year in August!

Where is your hometown and what is your favorite thing about it?
I’m originally from San Sebastian, a small city in the Northern coast of Spain. My absolute favorite thing about San Sebastian is the food. If you ever find yourself there, you must try pintxos – delicious tapas that are unique to this region of Spain.

Favorite thing/place/activity in Philly so far?
Spruce Street Harbor Park is probably my favorite spot in Philly. I love its food trucks, the hammocks… everything! Whether you go during the day or at night, it’s always so fun.

Best part of interning at FP?
At the risk of sounding cliche, I must say it’s the people that make this place so amazing. I got super lucky with my team which is full of women I look up to and who I’m learning so much from!

What advice would you give to a potential intern?
Have fun with the application and make sure you let your creativity shine through. If you end up working for Free People, don’t be afraid to ask questions and take every chance you get to try new tasks and explore other roles. You won’t know what you do and don’t like until you try it!
