Yes, it can definitely be difficult, time-consuming, and oftentimes quite costly. For example, you may see “Organic Asian Ginseng” on a product’s ingredient panel – but what potency extract is being used? Where was it grown? How long was it grown before it was harvested? Was it lab tested? You won’t find these answers on the back of the nutrition panel, so it’s easy for brands to cut corners when it comes to ingredient sourcing, but it makes all the difference in terms of quality and final product.
Throughout our development process, we work with leading herbalists to source and test hundreds of ingredients from their native lands around the world to ensure we’re sourcing the most potent and highest quality ingredients. We rigorously vet all of our suppliers and partners and work with them to ensure each ingredient has been allowed to grow for the ideal amount of time in order to reach its maximum effectiveness and concentrated energy. We also thoroughly test every ingredient and final product at leading independent labs in the U.S. for pesticides, heavy metals, microbiology, and allergens like gluten – so you can trust that the products you’re using are safe and pure.
Overall, this can be a challenging and lengthy process, but to us, the quality of our ingredients and products is everything – so it’s a non-negotiable, and we take great pride in sourcing our ingredients with the highest standards.
Tell us about how you arrived at your assortment (Yoga In A Cup gets my vote for best name!)?
Thank you so much! I wanted our first assortment to be a timeless collection that a busy working professional, mother, or student could all rely on every single day. Our customers are health- and wellness-conscious and take pride in taking care of themselves – but they’re also pressed for time, always on the go, and juggling many different things in life. Basically, someone like me.
It was also very important that these products felt exciting to use every day, just like your favorite beauty products, hence the fun and playful names.
You have very comprehensive information about adaptogens on your site— is there one that serves as your primary go-to?
My favorite adaptogen, hands-down, is rhodiola, because I’m always going full force — it gives me that natural boost of physical and mental energy, alertness, and focus. I like to call it the “get-shit-done herb.” It’s a hero ingredient in both our
Brain Buzz and
Supertonic Energy.
Being an entrepreneur and creative, I especially love rhodiola combined with the other brain-boosting and creativity-enhancing nootropics in
Brain Buzz – it’s way more powerful and effective than just taking a single ingredient and gives you a more balanced, well-rounded effect. I do like to rotate my adaptogens, but I would have to say Brain Buzz is my go-to, especially during the busy work week.
3 inside tips on how to best use Wylde One:
Start with what you feel like you’re lacking or needing the most. It can definitely be confusing and intimidating when you’re looking to add superfoods and adaptogens to your daily routine. So to make it simpler, we recommend first focusing on a single function – do you need more focus? Are you lacking overall energy? Feeling constantly anxious and stressed? Feeling depleted or worn down? Pick one elixir based on what you need most, and use it consistently over a few weeks to fully experience the benefits.
Add it to something you’re already drinking.Whether you start your day with a homemade matcha latte, pick up a cold brew coffee on the way to work, or drink a post-workout smoothie, add it to what you’re already doing and enjoy the magic.
Still not sure which elixir to use? Here’s a quick cheat sheet:
- For the busy working professional, student, or creative: Mix Brain Buzz into your morning latte for the ultimate brain boost.
- For those who are constantly on the go, workout warriors, or athletes: Mix Supertonic Energy with 1/2 cup of hot water + 1/2 of your choice of milk for an all-natural energy boost. (Also great for those looking to cut down on caffeine).
- For those who feel anxious or stressed out: Mix Yoga in a Cup into your morning latte for calm energy before the day starts. In the evening, add Yoga in a Cup to warmed milk to unwind and get better sleep (we love it with coconut milk).
- For those who feel fatigued or depleted, or those who travel often: Mix Immune Shrooms with warm almond milk or hot water for a healing, immunity-boosting latte (also great for gut and skin health!)
Your #1 beauty tip:
My #1 beauty tip is actually quite simple – move your body, exercise, and get sweaty. I notice such a huge difference with just 30 minutes of movement, whether it’s a dance or kickboxing class, doing some HIIT moves at home, or biking outside.
It gives you this natural glow that no amount of highlighter can give you. I find my whole body functions better, whether it’s my digestion, sleep, or focus. Overall, I feel so much more connected to my body, mind, and spirit and it gives me this gratitude and joy for life – which at the end of the day, I think, is what radiates through and truly makes you beautiful.
Are you a Wylde One at heart?
100%. I’ve always felt like a Wylde One since I was a little girl – I was very independent, always questioned everything, and always wanted to do things my own way. I hated being limited by rules and doing things just because everyone else was doing them. At its core, being a Wylde One is a state of mind, a spirit. It’s about unapologetically being you and embracing your most unique, whole, and authentic self.
