Office Style: Meet Sierra

“Prioritize and know that there are going to be hard days, but you can always get through it!”

What did you want to be growing up?

I always loved animals, so I wanted to be a vet… but then I realized how long I’d be going to school!

Your first job – what/ where?

I was the paper girl in my neighborhood.

Toughest obstacle you’ve overcome:

Having to work two jobs while being a full-time honors student and maintaining a social life for my own sanity.

Your current position at Free People….

I am the Accessories Sample Coordinator.

How did you land at FP?

I always knew that I wanted to be in the corporate fashion world, but I wasn’t quite ready to get out of Philly after college, so I decided to apply for a job at Free People. Luckily, I am now a part of that amazing team!

What drew you to it?

It seemed like the right first step for my career after college, and working at URBN has always been a dream of mine.

Proudest work moment:

I worked for Nicole Miller Philadelphia and I was invited to go to New York Fashion Week to do the social media for the Nicole Miller Runway show. I met a lot of great people and took amazing pictures that I will have forever.

What advice would you give someone who’d like to be in your role one day?

Prioritize and know that there are going to be hard days, but you can always get through it!

Favorite part of working at Free People:

My team! They are always around to help with work-related things but also to have a good time outside of work!

Your anthem / theme song?

Burnin’ Up by the Jonas Brothers.
