A Los Angeles Cottage We Love

Our LA designer’s home is what you’d expect from a creative soul whose passion is drawing and making her visions come to life. Her one bedroom cottage-style home is full of things that inspire her; art books, great music, notes from friends, art from friends, vintage finds, good food, and a lot of beautiful natural LA sun light. Street Style At The Rosebowl Flea Market

The Rosebowl Flea Market is one of the most famous flea markets in the world, it’s been running for 45 years and is situated in Pasadena, California amidst small mountains. We woke early around 7:00am to get there in time for the gates to open. The sun was so bright, and the people were happy with eager eyes flowing through the gates, ready to seek out unusual vintage finds.  Read More

Inspiration: Flowers In Your Hair

I love it when spring comes and the trees start to blossom and the streets are full of color and scents that awaken you. I often walk the streets picking the fallen petals. Whether it be for my sketchbook or simply just to decorate a braid I’m wearing for the day. I always find it gives you a little added happiness when you have a flower in your hair. Read More

The Concept Behind Our Dark Rose Lookbook

Our trend this week, Dark Rose, conjures up this season’s dark side in feminine lace and opulent onyx. A mixture of lace and chiffon play contrast with black leather and studs. A perfect trend capsule as we start to transition from our winter wardrobes into a spring/summer one. We caught up with our Web Merchandiser to find out how the concept came about. Read More

Travel Lust: Lovelane Caravans Cornwall, UK

My most profound memories of my younger years are the caravan holidays I went on. My parents, my sister, and I used to pack small suitcases and then we would drive 4-6 hours to our destination. The destination was usually the English coast line and there, my imagination used to run wild. Having four of us crammed into a little caravan was kind of magical; small little beds, a tiny kitchen and a sitting area that could barely seat 2 people, but I loved it, it was quirky there were no mod-cons, just quality time with the family. We would wake up in the morning, get inventive with breakfast, and then head out for long coastline walks. Read More

The New Bowie Album: The Next Day

It’s been a decade since we’ve heard new mystic tunes from David Bowie. This month his much awaited album The Next Day launched and it wasn’t a disappointment. His ability to write interesting, and un-obvious tunes doesn’t go away. The memorable riffs and melodies are still there. Bowie’s voice has changed slightly since we last heard him, but he still nails it. This is good, vital music, from a rock legend in his seventh decade.

Shop-able Street Style From LA

This weeks shop-able street style comes from LA. A retro-cool look that’s quirky and fun, we love so much about Elena’s look. We love that she’s has teamed a vintage dress with a more structured blazer, and accessories that look like they have just popped out of the 50’s. White knee-high socks worn with brogues, a royal navy clutch, and small bow hair clip. Every little detail of this look is considered down to the delicate necklace that hangs around her neck. Her style is refreshing a retro way. Here, we show you how to get the look!
