An FP New Romantics Dress Goes To A Wedding

In December, my sister got married in Mayfair London at The Savile Club. I mentioned the wedding a couple of months ago here, but didn’t have many professional photographs to show. Now that the photos have come back we can re-live the day and experience it all over again. Read More

What’s Your Favorite Love Movie?

I have to admit I’m a sucker for romantic comedies and dramas. Whenever my boyfriend leaves town I have the guilty pleasure of nestling on the couch searching through Netflix trying to find a good romantic movie that makes my heart melt. One of my all-time favorites is Sleepless In Seattle. I know, I know, most people would cringe at my liking it but I just can’t help it, every time I watch it my heart melts. Read More

My Bikram Journal Day 4

I woke this morning feeling emotional, I wasn’t sad or upset, I just felt like I was in a quite calm place and it was making me feel odd having suffered for many years with a racing mind.  This feeling felt quite strange to me. During my work day I felt my eyes fill up on more than one occasion for no reason at all. I mentioned my emotion to someone here at our office who practices yoga regularly and she told me if I was doing a lot of back bending and poses using my hips it would bring out a lot of emotion and then it all made sense. My Bikram Journal, Day Three

I had the most peaceful sleep last night. I felt rested and relaxed and woke well before my alarm clock. My body was aching in places I never knew could ache and I did not wake with a headache this time. I was however feeling a little groggy from lack of caffeine, it’s the 3rd day with no coffee and I’m starting to crave it. I walked past the coffee shop on my way to work and the smell almost enticed me in… but then I remembered “The Driver and The Chariot” I didn’t give in. Read More

My Bikram Journal Day Two

My alarm clock rang at 6:30am. I woke, my body ached, and I was for sure dehydrated. The 2.5 – 3 liters of water was clearly not enough.  Although my muscles hurt slightly and I had a head ache from lack of water, I felted enlightened. I was ready to head back to Bikram class after work and try harder. I nibbled on some peanut butter and jelly toast, packed my yoga kit, and headed into work.
