There are lots of studding DIY ideas out there, but I’m am loving this! You could stud up some denim scraps and patch them onto a pair of old jeans that need some new life.

When I saw these pictures from Prada’s stud-heavy F/W 09 collection on Men’s Rag, they really got me to thinking.
I have read quite a few fashion bloggers who are downright tired of the whole stud trend. For what it’s worth my boyfriend also thinks studs are over, though he is no fashion plate. However, Prada obviously disagrees, as do I – when I first saw these pictures I loved them instantly! I think all the studding looks great, and I especially want one of those nice shirts!
So of course what I’m wondering is what you readers think! Are studs getting to be over-played or are you guys still feeling it?

I know that many different art alphabets have been making the rounds lately on the net, so I hope you are not too tired of them to enjoy this awesome Google Maps alphabet! I really especially loved this one, I had to share! These were found by Rhett Dashwood, and interestingly enough, he found all the letters within the state of Victoria, Australia! I’m serious! That really makes me think. I bet one could find an alphabet in each of the 50 American states!

I love this little project from Design*Sponge! With some Altoid (or other) tins and a few other supplies you can make one of these cute mini gardens! I think I will make the zen garden – a little sand to rake on my desk might be just the ticket! See the instructions for both here.
Though these dioramas are a bit less into realism than the ones by Thomas Doyle that we looked at last week, they are definitely just as cool! I love the creative use of random odds and ends in each little diorama. Aren’t they cute? See more at creator Ethan Hayes-Chute’s website.

These paintings are from an interesting set by Fernando Vincente called Vanitas, which focuses basically on “the fading of beauty and the inevitability of death.” While there is definitely a touch of the morbid to these pieces, I think they are strangely beautiful too. What do you guys think?
