the post about amelia merrick made me want to seek out more images of nomadic types…santiago mostyn’s book all most heaven did that, and then some.

my grandfather used to jump on bethlehem steel cars from his farm into the “city”…always loved that image…i think you’ll love the ones taken by amelia merrick.

at the onset of summer, a group of amazing designers/artists congregated to build 6 teepees at the surf lodge in montauk, ny – bob melet, mike diamond, robert mckinley, tracy feith and rogan gregory…all to benefit the local skate park there! how rad.
unfortunately, east hampton’s fire marshall demanded they be taken down soon after…but, kudos to these busy guys for giving their time and muscle for kids and what they love.

this is dark circles. it’s briana’s band, with help sometimes from her sister mikele. and kyle and anthony. they are pretty incredible with a hint of creepy. and are playing at johnny brenda’s in philly on the 15th…with sian alice group and the war on drugs. please go and see them before they become wildly famous.
