Office Style

We’re layering up to brace the elements here in Philly today. It’s one of the coolest days we’ve had yet this fall and boy is that wind slap-in-the-face cold. There’s no doubt we have tights on underneath our shorts, and those jackets are no longer an option, but a necessity. Of course, that doesn’t stop the lovely Free People ladies from throwing on an ace outfit. Check out how we’re doing it today…

This is the very first vintage dress she ever bought, and now she has a whole closet full. I love pieces with great stories like this.

There’s a cool factor to leather jackets that nothing else quit seems to pull off.

Style File: Associate Buyer

This week’s style file is our one of our adorable associate buyers. I was attracted toward her style because of its effortlessness. Emanating from her attitude and seeping into her style, she walks around exuding an aura that’s casual and full of happiness. It’s never over the top, but always perfectly put together and relaxed. From a rolled up cuff, to a stellar combination of delicate and funky jewelry, it’s evident that there’s a good eye at work here.

She’s a pro at rocking the Joe Lace Up Over the Knee Boot proving that there are so many ways to wear them and that they always look great.

Office Style

Things felt pretty relaxed around the office today. I spotted some great patterns amongst the dressed down looks. Two ensembles roped in leather bottoms to spice up a normal sweater combo. And, as usual…we can’t stop with the shorts/tights combo – it’s just too comfortable and too good. One thing is for sure – we know how to do comfortable yet stylish, and here are my favorite looks that did just that today.

Check out the trims in this blouse. They remind me of friendship bracelets. What a great unexpected touch…

Style File:Designer

This lovely lady with romantic style is a designer here at Free People. Beautiful wrap dresses and flowing chiffon paired with her head of fiery red curls give off an almost Victorian feeling. She puts an updated twist on the classically beautiful elements with leather leggings, boho wedges, and playful nail art. A master of prints, you’ll often catch this designer in a statement pattern that is to die.

Office Style

Western-inspired looks were everywhere around the office this week. Sprinkled throughout, I picked up on notes of fringe, brass, and hide.  People were tying handkerchiefs around their necks and throwing on boots like the old cattle ranchers. Others interpreted a more feminine side, piling their heads high with braids and showing off lace-up stockings.

my jaw is on the floor – gold-tipped snakeskin cowboy boots…

Style File: Sample Coordinator-Accessories

Fierce jewelry, tights, and boots are all staples in our accessory sample coordinator’s fall wardrobe. Hailing from Florida her wardrobe is warm weather heavy, but she’s pulled in the power of layering to update it for our cooler Philadelphia climate. Instead of ditching the shorts she pulls in the accessories – tights, socks, and boots – to keep them wearing into fall.

The end effect of many of her outfits is an interesting mix between naughty and nice. Sweet elements like a romantic blouse or cozy girl-next-door socks are paired in the same look with sexy lace or edgy snakeskin. It keeps you guessing, and pulls you into the details.

My personal favorite accessory a girl can have – Abigail!

Office Style

I think the word for this week’s office style is eclectic – a little bit of this, a little bit of that. Outfits were right on trend, with a bit of something unexpected thrown in.

This outfit takes me off to dream land. What a great interpretation of the all white trend.

Glitter Lita’s – what a fun way to spice this outfit up! Get the same effect with these bad boys here.
