Love is a beautiful thing… and weddings are beautiful ceremonies. We are endlessly inspired by the gorgeous bohemian weddings that we’ve seen — whether in person or online — and love nothing more than to share this beauty to all. Read More

I remember the day my sister told me she was engaged, her face was glowing and so much happiness shone through her. After a year of planning, her wedding finally happened last Saturday on the 1st of December at London’s Savile Club in Mayfair. Read More

Our assistant art director recently got married to a photographer we often work with (Thomas Northcut) and as soon as I heard about it I knew I had to ask if we could share some photos, because I knew it would be stunning. The wedding took place in Maine, against a breathtaking backdrop of coastal scenery and amongst the couple’s closest friends and family. I love the casual, relaxed vibe of the wedding and special details like the kid’s tent (one of the adorable printed tents we used to sell at Free People), the beer boat, colorful confetti, and a bonfire complete with s’more-making. You can tell from looking at the photos that a lot of love was in the air. Read More
These last couple of weeks I’ve been trying to plan a little wedding party for my sister who is getting married in December. Being the Maid of Honor I have to have a helping in hand in her planning, so there has been a lot of tear gathering and folder making over the past few months. Read More
Every girl wants the opportunity to shine for one day, to put on the prettiest frock and just let the world wrap around her. She illuminates and the most enchanted smile comes upon her face… it’s the dress. It’s the prettiest dress she chose to put on that makes her feel like gold and everyone watches her.
Molly Guy approached us on the stairway of her beautiful Park Slope home in Brooklyn, her energy instantly made us feel welcome and it all made sense that this personality was behind the new NYC bridal concept Stone Fox Bride.
When you walk into Stone Fox Bride you feel…
…peaceful, serene, stylish, relaxed, inspired, creative, excited and curious.
She’s carefree, light hearted and fun with a modern day bohemian flare — that’s exactly the feeling you get when you walk into Stone Fox Brides newly launched showroom on Broadway, Manhattan.
By now you have probably heard of our new sister, BHLDN (pronounced Beholden), a line of dresses, accessories and décor for your wedding day. Over the summer, FP Naomi and I went over to their offices, which are located in Free People’s former home, Building 15. We got to take a little tour of the office, check out some of the dresses and other samples, and took a bunch of photos for the blog! I have to say, I am not a wedding person – not even a dress person – but I saw a dress at BHLDN that I completely fell in love with! Their stuff is stunning, and we’re proud to have them in our family :)
Here’s a little peek, just for you, behind the scenes at BHLDN.
The gorgeous chandelier in the lobby is made of repurposed glasses! Love.
The dress that I loved.

Our operations coordinator is also getting married, and had the amazing idea to incorporate some of the beautiful quilted fabric from India that we use for lots of our store displays – by having it used to make one-of-a-kind clutches as gifts for her bridesmaids! She worked with her friend Paige, a local designer behind Christine Shirley, who uses scraps of old fabric or old vintage clothes that may never come back in style to make handbags, clutches and more. Check out the amazing clutches she made with the quilted fabric!
Such an awesome idea, and a great way to incorporate her love of Free People into her wedding!
Our beautiful web merchandiser is getting married, and we had a little surprise bridal shower for her this morning :) She was so surprised, it was really sweet – and so were all the yummy treats!
Ruby and Mr. Pig were also in attendance :)
