guys, you have to check out our homepage right now. i can’t get enough of it- i love everything about it, the model, the setting, and that cat (remember lily?). the model is sofija milosevic, who was photographed at an amazing home our team found in west philadelphia. these photographs exude the perfect softness and ethereal atmosphere to lull me into a daydream… longing to curl up in a ball amongst blankets and pillows, just like a kitten.
our photographer also got some shots of the house to share on the blog, because it really is breathtaking. the home is located on spring garden street in an area of west philadelphia known as powelton village, a historic district with victorian style estates that were home to some of philly’s wealthiest residents back in the 19th century.
the current owners, andrew and brian, purchased the house 6 years ago and nearly gutted it to transform it into what you see in these images. the decoration shows their love of 19th century design and antiques, with most pieces being inherited family castoffs and antique store finds. our team knew that the elegant, dreamy mood of the house would suit our kitten story perfectly.

This house is amazing!!! I have actually been inside this house and it is extremely breathe taking!! The kitten collection adds to its unique design!
this is a very cute idea for a shoot. especially since your clothing for autumn is very light and pretty (lace, slips, velvet). i love it! everyone at free people is living the dream job
what kind of cat is it? such a beautiful kitten!!!
Brian and andrew did a stunning job restoring this house! Great shoot!
and this is why i LOVE the company i work for! i love all the unique, vintage feel of everything, AND!! you guys put a special on a kitty?!! I’m in love. I am a crazy cat lady, and this just made my day!!
Hi Natasha! The little cat is a red Persian named Lily. (I think the big one is a Maine Coon). She’s actually 4 years old, but she was the runt of her litter, so she has stayed quite tiny. In the winter, she has an even puffier fur coat, but because of the extreme heat over the summer, we gave her the “lion” cut. She’s actually only at about 75% of her usual fluff!
