As much as I may want to resist it, fall is certainly on its way – but I can’t deny that I’m excited about wearing my fall boots on a daily basis once again. While I have my eye on a bunch of the new fall boots on our site, I still have some pairs from last year that I’ll be rocking, as well. To update my old boots – and add variety to new ones – I love changing up the shoelaces in unexpected ways. Here are some of my favorite ways to do it.
1. Parachute cord.
While it may sound kind of strange, parachute cord is an excellent substitution for regular shoelaces. The benefit is that you can find it at the craft store in a ton of different colors, like mustard yellow and olive green.
I love the fall feeling that the green evokes. It’s subtle but still adds a nice change to your favorite boots!

2. Ribbon.
If you’re a crafter, you probably own a ton of ribbon. I like to pair mine with a cool pair of feminine boots like the Minimal Lace Up Heel, as it adds a little more girliness to them.
3. Suede cord.
Suede cord is another fun option that can be found at a craft store. I really like the workwear vibe it adds to a pair of boots — it totally changes up the entire look!

4. Twine and charms.
I’ve been using twine as shoelaces for years! I love how it adds a vintage, worn-in feel to a newer pair of boots. This time around, I decided to add a little feather charm to one of the laces, too. The twine was too thick to thread through the hole, so I just tied the charm to the twine with a little piece of thread and voila!

I really like the silky ones. They make the boots look more feminine.

They are great for boots!
I’d been meaning to put new laces on my favorite pair of boots for a while, the old ones had been dragged through mud and dirt on various adventures. I think it came out really cute! Have a look http://instagram.com/p/cQSjX6mEPL/

I have a wonderful idea you can simply add a charm to your shoes with exciting shoelace charms. TwistieTips offering cute, trendy and beautiful shoelace charms for kids and teens.
I am doing a movement webliography to get a type in senior high school and an internet book was desired by us. I adored up the set of the concept and also one’s website of it being fellow edited, therefore I used it in my presentation.
I have this really chunky (almost t-shirt material) yarn with red and navy blue stripes on it and I’m putting it on my brown work shoes tomorrow for a little extra pop :)
So I just used some coated wire that I found in the garage. Love it, it threaded so easy and even tied! My German Shepherd doesn’t like it, she can shred it quite as easily! Lol
