You know what my favorite thing about Valentine’s Day is? Conversation hearts. Not the new ones, either, the old kind by Brach’s. They are delicious and how can you not love the cute little messages on them? They were also the inspiration behind this sweet and easy nail art for Valentine’s Day – Conversation Heart Nails!
What you need: 5 shades of nail polish (see what we used below), a red sharpie, and matte top coat (optional – the matte coat will make your nails look even more like the candy!).
1. Urban Outfitters “Crowded,” 2. Milani “Juno,” 3. Milani “White On The Spot,” 4. Topshop “Bees Knees,” 5. Sally Hansen “Mint Sorbet.”
Try to pick 5 shades that are as close to the conversation heart colors as you can. Here’s a tip: if you have similar colors but they’re darker, mix them with white to get a more pastel shade!
Paint your nails so that each nail is a different color.
Our colors were pretty spot on!
Make sure your nails are completely dry before you write on them with the sharpie. We liked having a message on just one nail, making it subtle and sweet.
Paint over your nails with the matte top coat to give make them look even more like the conversation hearts!
