“so i’m on winter break…and have a ton of free time. i bought a cheap ukelele and am currently teaching myself how to play via youtube. anyway, i was still bored, so i decided to decorate my uke using acrylic paint… i think it ended up looking pretty freepeople-esque!”
i agree! i love it so much :)

drifting
in the aftermath of yesterday’s snowstorm, the navy yard looks lovely all blanketed in white… the wind is nasty but i do like the pretty drifts it creates in the snow…
warmth
a pretty present from free people…feast of seven fishes with family and friends…a warm fire in my favorite bar…quiet christmas morning with my favorite guy…watching the snow fall into the evening…
i hope you all had a wonderful holiday… what was your favorite part?

Turkish Delight
My eyes keep dazzling over these beautiful Mediterranean inspired rings, they look like heirlooms that have come from some royal Turkish family. I tried every single one on my fingers and was captivated with their presence. They look so powerful as if they could cast magic at any given time!
Here’s a little about the designer.
Bora
Born in Turkey, Bora’s experience immersed in Mediterranean culture is one of the many things that inspires the jewelry that he makes today. His dream when coming to the US was to be a musician, but his creativity and imagination led him towards jewelry design, allowing him to use his engineering background to carefully craft his designs with close attention to detail and dimensions. His favorite material to “play” with is oxidized silver as he appreciates the historic quality of the metal, and his pieces are an abstract and interesting addition to any look.
He works from his studio in Brooklyn, NY to create statement jewelry reminiscent of textiles and motifs found in the Mediterranean and his home country of Turkey.
We hear at home office love his work they look extra special on too.
