i miss u carrie!
my fav band was definantly The Foo Fighters, i tend to have crushes on hot guitarist/drummers with long messy hair and I probably listened to their cds over and over and over again until they wore out.
I loved and still love Tool…one of the greats!

they have inredibly catchy, well-written music, not to mention the lead singer gabe saporta is absolutely gorgeous.

Bad Religion!
Berry, Buck, Mills and Stipe–also known as R.E.M. –the boys from Athens Georgia. They filled my ears with mysterious lyrics and glorious arpeggios and opened my mind to various political causes. (I became a vegetarian after reading an interview with Michael Stipe in Sassy magazine. It was something I was already interested in, but he helped me decide to make a change.)

Idiot Pilot. There one of the few bands that I count as a favourite. I generally just have favourite songs. This isn’t a band but the Labyrinth soundtrack (D. Bowie) is one of my all time favourites!
I had two favorite bands. One that still remains is Red Hot Chili Peppers – the One Hot Minute era with Dave Navarro as lead guitarist. I think I even dressed in black for a year because of Dave. “My Friends” was my my fave track.
I also loved Bush – but what 13 year old girl didn’t love Gavin. Bush was actually my 1st ever concert at 13. I ended up meeting Gavin while stalking his tour bus …hahaha Those were the days!!! =) Gotta I had two favorite bands. Oh my gosh, I’ve lost track of how many times I saw They Might Be Giants when I was in high school…I think maybe eighteen. I was such a nerd.
Oh, and I also second R.E.M, they rescued me from 80’s hair metal. They’re definitely the “gateway” band.
While in school, my favorite bands were a tie between The Jesus and Mary Chain and My Bloody Valentine!! I was obsessed with the Shoegaze genre!
